Mamamoo performance was the most view performance of that year (and one of the most in history). The original video of that performance has more than 60 millions views on youtube but MAMA deleted it for some reason

Mamamoo is a magic potion! They some how successfully made JYP performance less weird but still fun and crazy. No other celebrity could do that (yes other did collab with JYP but then the performaces always looks super akward and JYP looks like a total mad man)

That was a short re-arranged version of Twit. In the Twit MV she wore a clear plastic outfit that was reminiscent of something JYP famously wore years ago that was seen in the video clips, so it made the collab between the two of them in plastic a natural fit (so to speak) and I'm sure everyone in the audience had a grin on their face. JYP has been around since the 90's. You should watch some of the idol reaction videos to the collab. Jackson went viral for his shocked jaw drop when Hwasa sat on JYP's leg and everyone cracked up when they showed it on the big screen (Got7 and Itzy in particular). A good time was had by all.

Mamamoo is just on another level. No matter how many times I watch this performance I always get hype. If I'm not mistaken I think Hwasa performed Dua Lipa's song New Rules and introduced her for her(Dua Lipa) performance this same night. I needs to see Mamamoo on somebody's stage real soon.

I'm laughing so hard. Your smiles/giggles for the girls and then your face for JYP were so opposite hahaha. This was certainly an iconic performance and one of the most watched. You should also check out their 2019 MAMA performance but make sure to look for the full video. Some of them have Moonbyul's part cut off for some reason.

Hwasa’s outfit and her entire Twit stage was modeled after the Joker from Batman. Her whole look and the clown masks (which his henchmen wear) were styled after the character. The song is essentially about a relationship she had where she pulled away from her bf because she felt suffocated by their love, but in the end she realized she was the villain of that story. Which is why in the dance (which is not the original dance for this song) she pushes away and k*lls one of the dancers who was meant to represent her lover. The arrangement they used is much more in line with the vibe of the lyrics than the original song. The original is much more upbeat and almost fun sounding, whereas this was more somber and regretful. Both versions are amazing. The awesome thing about her outfit is that it also tied directly into her next 2 performances. I think someone else has already mentioned she wore a plastic outfit in her TWIT MV, as an homage to an iconic outfit JYP wore back in the day. And so they carried the plastic theme through all 5 of their outfits. I can’t say for sure cause I’ve never seen it before this stage, but I’m guessing the song that Hwasa did with JYP was the one where he first wore the plastic outfit. Which they tied in through the little video clips they played in the transition between Hwasa’s solo stage and her joint stage with JYP. And for HIP, I think they leaned into the vibe of Hwasa’s outfit and kept with the villain theme. Which works so well because that’s essentially how the media portrays them when they wear or do things that don’t meet the standard. I don’t know if they intentionally made Solar look like Shego (not sure how popular Kim Possible would’ve been in Korea) or if they were just working with the color scheme, but between her and Hwasa’s outfit it gives the image of a supervillain group. That’s why the dance break got really gritty and ended with them sh**ting everyone. They literally took shots at the media. 😂 There’s a reason this had like 30m. I still can’t believe they took the original video down. I’m pretty sure it had the most views of any video that MAMA had released on their channel, so it’s wild that they removed it.

This is one MAMA’s most viewed video but MNET deleted the original vid. You should checkout their 2020 MAMA perf coz its 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 its just a shame that no audience was available but still they slaaaayed it

Wheein was blue (hair colour) for the HIP era! 😁😁 Moonbyul was purple then, so it's possible why they didn't need to get a hair colour change. And it's so cool Solar and Hwasa had their hair coloured. Also, Hwasa's starting look with those masked dancers were a callback to the Joker movie! 😁
