Yo man, can you believe people signed petitions to kick Hwasa out of the group after they debuted because of those gorgeous curves? "It's not the standard kpop idol body... therefore she's fat". They so dumb. Anyways, glad that times have changed and Hwasa has redefined new standards. She's now Korea's IT GIRL.

The singer with Moonbyul was Chaewon of IZ*One but is not the original singer for the song. Seulgi of Red Velvet (check out their latest song Psycho) was the original singer but due to scheduling or more likely contract, Moonbyul has to get a backup. Solar started pole dancing due to a back injury, she's gotten really good at it from the video on her channel that I posted the link previously.

What I love about Mamamoo is they don’t just learn a one-time skill, once they pick up a skill they train hard for it and create so many variations. For instance, Solar has shown different pole dancing routines on her KZbin channel

wait? innocence in mamamoo? you've got a lot to learn... there are videos specifically about every member being perverts (and they frequently include a clip of solar saying "i'm just a pervert. not a crazy one" while the others laugh at her and drag her away from the camera). there's still a chance solar is the most innocent of the group. it's hard to tell, honestly. but they can all indeed get quite freaky and yeah, as others have said, this wasn't solar's poledance that they wanted you to see. that one's on her own yt channel, dancing with her instructor to a song she wrote and composed herself. solar started poledance back in early 2018, supposedly to work on her back muscles after an injury a few months previously. the first time she did it was in the "egotistic" music video after just an hour or so of practice and she's kept it up since, dancing as part of her solo stage in the 'four seasons s/s' concerts, then here in this year end award show, later putting a few videos on yt and even showcasing and teaching aspects of it (with two actual instructors, a national pole champion and another idol wanting to learn the pole) during a show called 'my little television'. one of the biggest things about solar that makes her such an inspiration is that she never halfasses anything. whatever she sets her mind to doing, she gives her all not so much to say with wheein's bit... just so glad she was able to perform even a snippet of her song on a show like this, since it got zero promotion when it was released (most of wheein's music isn't promoted and many fans got upset about this, and some still do. but the lack of promotion was recently revealed to be wheein's decision, not the agency's. she's really not fond of promoting things alone, being on music or award or variety shows without at least one other member as her backup). a funny thing you can kind of notice if you manage to pull your eyes off wheein during her segment... hard as that is to do... the girl group immediately behind her, one of the members is fangirling quite a lot. that girl has said wheein is her ultimate bias in all of kpop and she couldn't believe she was so close to her during that performance, even if she mostly got to see her from behind i see someone else explained about who was with byul in her "selfish" performance, as well as the original artist who performed her. solar has also done seulgi's part in "selfish" at performances before. and byul sang both parts in their 'four seasons f/w' concerts, also thanking seulgi, solar and chaewon profusely since she didn't realize just how high the parts they sang got. at this performance, the rest of chaewon's group said they were so happy for, proud of, and jealous of chaewon because she got to perform with a member of mamamoo the version of "don't" hwasa performed here really didn't touch the quality or vibe of the original song itself, but i'm so glad she did it this way here. her way. showing things the way she wanted them. she got a lot of hate from 'netizens' (korean people over the internet) and 'typical' girl group fans (the types typically always badmouthing mmm for not sticking to one of the styles/concepts girl groups are generally shoehorned into) for it but pretty much everyone outside south korea loved it, saw nothing wrong with the outfit. you've absolutely got to check out the original version of "don't", which is frequently called 'above live' since that's the program their second live performance was on. hwasa and loco pretty much took over south korea when that song dropped out of the blue with zero promotion and there at the end... i love how the outfits these four women wore so distinctly showed their individual personalities and tastes while also managing to blend together. that's a huge thing mamamoo has been about forever, displaying both their individuality and their cohesiveness as a whole. that's actually a hard thing to find in entertainers of any kind, but these women each are willing to kind of fade into the background and let each other shine then step in and manage to demand 100% of your attention when it's their turn. none of them wants to outshine each other, they all view each other as family... each member has said during solo performances/schedules that they miss the others, they feel something's lacking if they're not all together. solar herself has kind of compared them to voltron, saying without the others she's just an arm, but together they're a whole body. and even if they're not physically there, they all do everything they can to support each other's solo work, whether it be sending food and/or coffee trucks to the one working solo and the staff with her to calling to check up/chat to actually showing up for a surprise (or not so surprise) visit
