Mamamoo Storytime: Wheein is on video talking about the time a reporter asked if she is gaining weight and Wheein answered, "Yes I am. I am a woman that happens as we age". A while later Mamamoo comes back with a song absolutely blasting "beauty standards" and inviting the listener to follow them to a place where they have zero f's left to give about that sort of thing. Title of the song: Yes I Am. That kind of thing is why Mamamoo is my first love in kpop. Another Mamamoo Storytime: Wheein was really playing the drums at the end of Hip, she surprised the director. It's a well-known fact among Moomoos once you Wheein, you can't Whee out.

Love watching you do a free-fall into the Mamamoo rabbit hole. 😂 Wheein's nose ring in Egotistic was part of her costume - she doesn't have a nose piercing. She has a bunch of tattoos but she added a few temporary tats for her character in the MV, which I would describe as "badass bitch on wheels." :) Egotistic is one of the title tracks in MMM's landmark and historic four album project called 4 Season 4 Color. Each album has a theme season & color which is related to a stage in a relationship and a primary emotion. Egotistic is the Summer/Red title track, which is Passion in the 4S4C color scheme. The visuals in the MV are too overwhelming to allow your brain to do any analytical functions on first view lol but as you re-watch it you may notice that each member expresses her own shade of Red and her own take on Passion via her actions & props and I think they also portray 4 stages of leaving a lover - Anger (Moonbyul tosses the chair), Defiance (Hwasa stares down the jaguar), Revenge (Wheein burns his guitar in effigy and dances in the flames), and Liberation (Solar flies on the pole). This is one of those MVs where Mamamoo just looks like they're being hot as hell until you ask questions like why there's a jaguar and what's up with the pole dancing and fire dancing scenes and then realize they're not random or just for looks. There's always a method to their beagle madness but it's often not apparent at first. Blue-haired Wheein in Hip is almost everyone's favorite era for her. She looks stunning and she absolutely destroyed everyone. Many moomoos don't have a bias. Picking a bias in MMM is almost pointless because you're guaranteed to be wrecked by everyone else on a regular basis but based on your instinctive reaction every time she hits the screen I think you might as well admit to being a Wheein bias. Eventually I succumbed to Solar because she's the member who kept making me cry when they did ballads. You haven't gotten around to their ballad singing yet but you got a taste of it with I Miss You in the Killing Voice video when Solar took everyone to church and gave us visions of the pearly gates. Rofl when you replayed Hwasa's Kiss My Ass scene in Hip. She co-wrote the lyrics and the headline about her as the president triggering a controversy over her airport fashion refers to several incidents where Hwasa caused a shit storm over what she wore to the airport as well as other controversies over MMM's fashion and costume choices. Hip is a combo of a diss track mocking their haters with a message song in which they re-define Hip to mean being yourself and doing your own thing rather than the usual meaning of cool or trendy. In the MV each member plays 3 women who are unusual in one way or another and therefore subject to criticism just for being different. Hip is MMM's way of comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable. 😏 Lots of people are surprised when they find out Solar is the oldest member and the leader of the group. She's definitely Crackhead #1 in MMM and one of her nicknames is Yeba, which is Korean slang for Pretty Fool. Mamamoo's duality as serious artists and total goofballs is legendary but Solar takes it to another level and the other members have accused her of having a multiple personality disorder. Imo she has a rare combination of apparently contradictory personality traits and the miracle is that she's a happily adjusted, radiantly cheerful, world-class performing artist rather than a mental basket case. The reason she seems so young is that she has a pure, innocent spirit and I think the reason she makes me cry is because that innocence and purity allows her to express her emotions unfiltered and with such piercing directness that I experience it as a moment of spiritual grace. If you were to characterize their voices as elemental forces Solar is Fire, Hwasa is Earth, Wheein is Air and Moonbyul is Water. Sorry to blab on so long. Looking forward to the next MMM reaction. 😂

I am so glad that you reacted to these they all KILLED it in both Songs like holy cow they were all Lethal like in Egotistic Solar was just not okay the whole pole dancing and the looks like WHAT (to let you know after the Video Solar started pole dancing more and in some of their Live stages she did a lot of pole dancing) and in HIP she was just again Wow the whole Rocker look was iconic and the boxer look was just Lethal, Wheein killed me with the looks and her tattoos like WOW just everything about her in Egotistic and the scene with her in/on the car WOW and don't get me started on her look in HIP the hippy look Wow and her in the suit was LETHAL, Moonbyul in Egotistic was just umm yeah she killed it and in HIP the outfits on her suited her SO well she was just AMAZING and don't get me started on her Raps like I said she's my favorite Rapper in K - Pop, And Hwasa was just LETHAL in both like Egotistic she was just GORGEOUS and really Sexy as well and in HIP like I said with the others the whole look was Iconic her moves and the outfits were just Wow and don't get me started in her short hair just Wow! You should definitely check out their song Starry Night it was my first song from them and it will remain my favorite and or it will stay in a special place in my heart because WOW the Vocals, Visuals, Dance, Rap, just everything was AMAZING with Solar's long blonde hair, Wheein's short blonde hair, Hwasa's long beautiful black hair, and Moon's Short Orange hair!! But I will warn you, your Bias confusion will grow the more content you watch LOL! I was lucky, I fell HARD for Hwa Sa and I never strayed, she has always been my Bias, I was never even wrecked by any other. BUT I do love and adore the other members, and support them in all that they do! I've never found a group that I can listen to ALL of their albums, and not skip any songs. Seriously that is how talented these women are. I've been a fan of other groups, but never liked every song, on every album. It's just crazy to me. It's because they switch up their sound, and they don't sound the same all the time, and are talented enough, and have the singing ability to pull it off.

Mamamoo and Blackpink give me the same problems: I don't get how any can have a bias in either group. And both groups feature four women with very distinct vocal tone and character. Decalcomanie is the MV that gives me the most problems.
