Imo, they have incredible vocals especially, live. It's like they know how to work with a song. Simply put, they know how to actually sing? If you go to some other groups, they will be amazing too but for me, I feel it's harder to find one who can work the voice like Mamamoo. (Of course, there are super duper amazing ones like EXO, BTS, IU and more.) But considering KPop, vocals are only a part of what would make a group successful. Other major factors will be dance, music production (if it appeals to the audience) and training&promotion (being from a big company with a long list of past successful groups provides one a lot of advantage here, if one survives the competition and gets debuted.)

Congratulations, you have met a group consisting of 4 soloists. Mamamoo is the only 3rd generation female band whose members have all been solo successful on billboard

Ooh yes definitely watch their performances on Immortal Songs 2, they're all covers of famous songs (mainly in Korea). Mamamoo really gave each song their own unique twist and, of course, the vocals are consistently INCREDIBLE in each performance.

You should listen to their more recent songs - they try even more different styles! e.g. Gogobebe, HIP, Egotistic. Also all their live performances from the reality/competition show Queendom are REALLY good (the live version of I Miss You was from that show).

From oh this is too much to aww, at the end already? Lol, they are so amazing, right? I can't believe I didn't check them out more until I did. I probably saw the bright colors of MV thumbnails and weird titles (Um Oh Ah Yeah.?) and assumed they were cutesy and manufactured. But totally not the case, such vocal queens and funny genuine girls! Hard to pick a favorite MV and live they are so good! They have a few solo concerts, seasons f/w (fall/winter) and s/s (spring/summer) that are especially nice to react to as you can see all the talent of each of them (maybe a bit long, but so cool). I also recommend Loona for a huuuuge number of super diverse songs with MV's as each of 12 girl got a solo single with an MV made by Digipedi (the best imo) which together with a few subunit MV's tell a mysterious story. Really well done. My favorite group, Dreamcatcher, also tell a story with their MV's, the first two Chase Me and its sequel Goodnight (also by Digipedi) are like a mini-movie. This is followed by a prequel Fly High and a very cool sequel You and I. The story is also mysterious but has a horror vibe, and unlike all the various genres of Loona all have a rock/metal sound that's very unique. The story is completely with What and Piri who have a different visual style but fit so well. Really worth watching in order. You can watch later MV's, b-sides and covers at any time. Maybe Deja Vu or Scream is a good video to start also!
