Rant coming in 3..2...1 Really tho, I like both groups. Blackpink introduced me to kpop and now I'm a solid moomoo, but I still appreciate BP big time. The two of them have very different styles. I actually think BP are incredible performers especially after watching their coachella performance. For some reason, they don't feel comfortable performing like that in Korea. I also blame the way YG forced Rose into learning an unhealthy way of singing because, in my opinion, her voice pre-debut was WAY better. YG is also to blame for not giving the girls enough freedom in making their own music. My fave BP songs are honestly the ones where they participated in writing. For Mamamoo, girl, THERE ARE ALMOST NO FLAWS. They're given the freedom, they were trained properly, and they have a lovely friendship with the company and staff. Only problem is that RBW doesn't give them proper international promotion. If RBW promoted Mamamoo the way Bighit promoted BTS, then it wouldn't matter that they were from a small company. Mamamoo would probably be slaying the Grammy's by now. Anyways, both groups are amazing nevertheless. I can't say which is the "better" group because it's all about preferences, really. Maybe someone might like listening to Rose's unique voice instead of Solar's powerful vocals. Maybe someone might like Wheein's style of dancing more instead of Lisa's. We should just support our faves and quit the fanwars. Nothing good ever comes from that.

I'm a multistan and my first group to stan is blackpink and last year, i became a moomoo and everyday i'd still find mamamoo's talents genuinely surprising. It's not that blackpink isn't talented or they're not passionate enough, but mamamoo has gone through so much more and they literally started from nothing, being judged by their looks, but when you look at their work, it's very transparent and inspiring. But other groups such as blackpink are being placed in a certain concept, or even caged. @hyunjin purse yeah obviously both groups are talented but the only problem with bp is yg, we all know how much yg restricts bp to participate in any process of song and dont even give them chance to showcase what they really want to, that case with mamamoo is upside down one, their company has given them abundant freedom and so now we see them as artists who have already practiced and enjoyed their art In whole new level. I will wait till bp gets what it deserves actually:) Edit- Vocal is something analytical so I ranked them as per there vocal abilities and it is so obvious that mamamoo takes the whole league there. But other then that I can tell everything is preferable and something everyone can have opinions about. So yes according to that both groups are definitely very much talented and grt:)
