I had that fabric once, made a pillow from it. Interesting way of inserting zipper flaps. Usually the ends are left open, but this way completely secures the smallest contents.

@@MamaProject I made this today. The plan is to use it as a lunch bag so I used Thermolam fusible fleece and Insul-fleece. I put pockets on both sides of the lining and sewed narrow channels for cutlery on one side. One thing I would do differently next time - sew the base pieces without sewing all the way to each end. I think that would make it easier and neater to box the corners afterwards.

Finally a zipper in a bag without long tabs and holes. It’s just corner boxed like the bag! I’m making jean bags and keeping the top waist band. I can alter this to drop in, just needed to know how to do without having spaces at top! Thanks so much!

I was looking through the recessed zipper tutorials for fully enclosed ends. I appreciate the simplicity of your design. The other tutorials are also good, but I think what you did by cutting out the 2cm to make the zipper ends tucked into the seam is what I wanted. I just didn’t want to think about it. Thank you!

I have that EXACT SAME fabric! I've been looking for tutorials to make a tote for about a week now and when I saw the thumbnail I was oh! I like this one, then I started watching it and saw the fabric I was so excited, this is a sign that this is the one 😊 except as a lining I have a maroon fabric, other than that I'm making this, and subbing. Awesome tutorial by the way, it looks like a complex design but you make it look so easy .

Thanks for the video on this. It took me awhile to see someone show exactly how it was done on the zipper ends. Im looking to make a drop in lining with zipper but for jean bags where I dont cut off the waist band. I think I can do it this way with a few teaks.
