I have the blue gray and compare it to my bb58. The case is almost an exact copy, I was surprised. I ordered this one originally and was sent the wrong watch by gnomon. I am glad they made a mistake now as the all blue ceramic bezel is snazzy. Congrats on the holiday watch and the memories you will make in it.

It seems the black dial black bezel version does not have patina lume treatment and so it may be bright . Nice review.

Very nice Indeed! Some would say the hand lume would be brighter on a "vintage" piece, but the think all the lume should be the same, unless the hands are a different color!

This is my first review of yours for me to see. I will start by saying that I am a big fan of Squale, but I only have one of their watches. It is my choice when I decided to spend more than I usually do for a watch. I love the watch and the character of the brand. I know they aren't perfect and they aren't for everybody (just like every watch and every brand). I was, however, disappointed in your review of this watch. I can't tell exactly what your motivation for purchasing this specific model watch was based on, but I think you indicated that it was one of their "cheaper" ones. Then you proceeded to make disparaging remarks (only) as you reviewed the watch - never putting in context or presenting the positive thoughts at the same time. Your tone and commentary was either uninformed or negative or, almost, mocking. I didn't appreciate your whole presentation and the overall impression you gave of this watch and brand. This came across as a biased review - mostly based on your own preferences. Why didn't you get a more robust or representative model if you were going to take such a harsh view instead of comparing to perfect or other more elite models of other brands? If lume is important to you, there are definitely models that highlight that feature more instead of vintage look, for example. I think you did a disservice to the Squale brand with your negative overall take on so many features without building a foundation that demonstrated YOUR expertise - and not just personal preferences. I expect better from the reviewers than the approach you took.

Well, when I review a watch especially initially, I'll always try to give my 1st impression. Which is the case with this video. It was negative at first. But when it's time to do a full review, I normally give more thought into the watch and sometimes it is worse, but in the Squale case, it grew on me. Do check out my full review bro. Not sure why but Chinese watch have the best lume, I have near 40 watches from $100 to $3000, best lume is my steeldive at $150 !!!! Bezel and dial..

Totally agreed. My San Martin watches have excellent lume. I really think the swiss made really needs to step up their game. Otherwise, the Chinese will soon catch up. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎

I would stay away from a watch with a very bright lume, especially from one coming from China. Exposure to radium-226 is not great long term. That’s why I’ve never been fused by a watch with lume.. couldn’t care less about it.

Look at vintage Squale watches and you will see the similar bezel insert and dial. They have recreated that.

Don't you like to know if the watch comes with a wooden box, a travel pouch, or just wrapped in plastic? Isn't it useful to know if there's a warranty for your purchase? Don't you appreciate to know if the timepiece comes with another leather or rubber strap? I do.
