Everything about the MAMEDrop series is awesome, but the most awesome part of it to me is how casually people will just drop in and drop out and it doesn't matter at all to the production. MAMEDrop is like my childhood dream. All of my friends and I get to spend half the day in a clubhouse just having fun, coming in and leaving whenever we had to, asking if I could get the controller next when someone dies in game, and just shooting the shit together and watching others play games at other times.

@@Yerp_To_Da_Skerp It's LA and Coke is everywhere in entertainment. Travis kept sniffing and rubbing his nose every 5 seconds. Maybe its just a tick or nose issue he has but I wouldnt doubt if he did some coke before the show. All these people do is work, need to stay focused, and on the ball so they turn coke since its not as taboo in that world. You'd be surprised how many people do coke or any sort of uppers in the entertainment business. But If Travis actually does do coke I wouldnt judge him either way, Hes a great guy to watch given I dont know him personally.

I have been in close proximity just watching and being there. Nolan Ryan is the most bad-ass Pitcher there ever was. The Anaheim Angels were a fucking great team but Ryan went on to the Texas Rangers. There is no way to underestimate Nolan Ryan and perhaps no way to express how good he was. Like a best kept secret. He was was Made of Fire and you didn't know it until you were OUT. Thank You Nolan Ryan for some of the best sporting experiences I have ever known. And Thank You Travis WillingBlam for connecting athletic nerds to D&D nerds, Amen.

We had Gladiators in England too in the 90's. I remember going to a cake shop to buy cupcakes with Wolf's face on it that came with a ring with his face on it too. I think they brought it back a few years ago as one of ITVs one shot revivals of old shows.

If there is a second sports games episode, you have to play NBA Jam TE, NFL Blitz, and Mutant League Football (if they're on your cabinet). They were some of my favorite games growing up. Oh, the memories of NBA Jam, a pocket full of quarters, and lousy (but still kind of amazing) mall pizza. To be a kid in the 90s again.

I really feel like Taliesin should have more control over the length of the production. I know there are time constraints, but I don't like that they had to cut it before NBA Jam, which is such an iconic game. I don't see the issue of letting them roll 5 minutes longer to at least play a little bit. On a more positive note, Travis was an absolute blast to watch.

@@edr1213 I think because they are moving away from Geek and Sundry and becoming more independent they are probably overall worse for profits in general. Being sponsored is typically more profitable than being an independent because you have a whole network to support you and you can typically get resources to do things you would not otherwise be able to do with the extra backing. But CR itself is in the natal stages of essentially becoming its own sponsor with all of these great projects and people. It will just be a little rough starting out. It will also be pretty rough for G&S when they actually lose them. Critical Role is a lot of their audience.

american gladiators was filmed in kissimmee off of 192 about 5 miles from Disney. universal is about 20 miles away in orlando. the building for american gladiators is still there with a helicopter tour in front of it.

I still have my SNES, a 13in CRT TV, and Ken Griffy Jr. MLB. I'm not a sports person unless there is an engine involved but that game was so much fun. Athough there is a cheap way to win against AI. you could hit a button and some guy would yell "BEAM HIM!" then the AI pitcher would throw the ball at the batter, so you could just keep doing that and get a lot of runs. It would be cool to see you guys do some racing games like Top Gear from the SNES.
