Hita City, Oita Prefecture, is located almost in the center of Kyushu.
Mamedamachi is the center of Hita City.
Tenryo flourished as a castle town under the direct control of the Shogunate during the Edo period.
It is an area where many old buildings and townscapes still remain, reminiscent of the bygone era.

In particular, Mameda-cho, the center, is located along a stone brick road.

Hita Soy Sauce Tenryo Hina Goten
Hita Soy Sauce is a long-established miso and soy sauce company that has been in business for over 170 years.
Tenryo Hina Goten is an exhibition hall for Hita Soy Sauce Hina dolls.
Hundreds of types of Hina dolls are on display.

Public hours: 9:00-17:00 (permanent exhibition)

東京です。 別のチャンネルでは無料の駐車場が映っていたのですが今は有料なのでしょうか。 飛騨高山の街並みとちょっと似たところありますね。耶馬渓の紅葉の頃に訪問してみようと思います。

天領という言葉は明治時代になってから呼ばれた名称。江戸時代は幕府領とか直轄地と呼ばれていた。 日田はその　いわゆる天領（直轄地）を所轄する　郡代　（西国筋郡代）が置かれていたところ。 日田の住民も　天領日田　という名称で観光PRしているが、本当は　西国筋郡代の有った日田　というのが　正しいのかな？
