Thank you guys for all the great reviews this season. Mamelodi Sundowns team had a great run this season but lost 5 matches of great consequence. When the season started I had high expectation of winning AFL, CCL, PSL and Nedbank Cup but we only received 2 trophies, even though also winning Nedbank would have been nice. I believe these are the major trophies we need to strive to win next season as well because we are going to add Club World Cup to our hectic schedule but PSL will not make it easy for us. Mamelodi Sundowns need to sign a tall striker who can be used as a target man.

We need real centerbacks, players who know how to defend without having to think about what to do in a moment. This thing of defending with midfielders doesn't work. Defending doesn't come naturally to them in defining moments. We play very well but we always look compromised when we are under attack and this keeps repeating itself no matter who is in the line up.

We have about four domestic cups, and Sundowns won only 1 out of the 4. This is a total failure. Achieving a 50% success rate by winning 2 out of 4 would have been more acceptable. One thing you missing is that Pirates when playing against Capetown Spurs, they don't get as much support from referees as they do when they are playing in a final. You are actually bucking at a wrong tree. Understand your disappointment but it's very difficult to beat Pirates in a cup final. You counting many matches we lost to Pirates during a final but look at all those matches and tell me if referees were fair to Sundowns. 1. MTN8 semies - Salengs goal from outside the line, changed the while game. 2. Final they played with Sekhukhune, Lorch's penalty he got 3. MTN8 final against us earlier this season. 4. Their match against AmaZulu, penalty Makhehleni got, similar to the one they got yesterday. 5. Yesterday: 5.1 Libitso push Zwane the the advertising board while on yellow 5.2 Makhehleni pushes Costa during that assist to Zwane 5.3 Thalente kicking players the entire game no booking 5.4 Same as Maswanganyi, there was a time he went for Zwane's knee no booking. 5.5 That equalizer they got, a gift from heaven. 5.6 Chaine gets two yellow cards no red card. As long as you are focusing on players you are not even close to resolving the problem. This is the same league that play against us in the CAFCL. Even the AFL we had no support.

One of the problem to highlight this past season is having only one striker, we are just so lost when Shalulile is off-form or not in the field. We are reduced to playing one set tactic which is finding the spaces in between defenders, no crosses because there's no one to head, we had very few goals from set-pieces, corners and free-kicks are just a waste for us actually. Then there's a coach who seem to undermine big fixtures, you cant play players out of position in big games, the Zungu role is been only applied on easy fixtures where teams just park the bus and not attack. Rather get defenders that can play the number 6 role coz at least they can defend than midfielders to switch between defense and midfield.

Masadawana hard luck. This game was not for us from the beginning. Getting a wrong penalty and missing it. I knew we are going to loose. Coach was also not up to scratch and my rating for him is 5. The issue is that we are not prioritizing which cups we want to win and do everything to ensure that those games are well prepared. Sundowns must win DSTV league and CAF all the time and only use local cups to rebounce to focus on local cups if we are not doing well in league and CAF. So allow the league and CAF to have consistency in player selection but let the cups be played by non regular players so that win or loss we do not worry because we know what is the main target. Check all our competitors at CAF how they prioritize their league games and CAF games.

I am sad like all of us...But i still think the coach can still continue but he really has to change his approach for Cup finals. His Starting line up was so less to be desired too defensive especially playing againstva team that build from the bavk like us. I am no expert but the offensive setpeices ability was always going to come to haunt us eventually. And the fact that we want to score with attacking midfielders rather than outandoutstrikers has made it hard for Shalulile to perform becauze there is a lot that rest on his individual shoulders. The standard of our free kicks and corners is of the lowest ranking teams in the DSTV premiership. Its almost like we do not know who has to take freekicks and corners. And also with Shalulile playing on the sides he seems to impact less at times. I could be rumbling but I thinks our technical team needs beefing up...for me the voach can have another season to improve and prove himself..

The technical team hurt me to be honest, the bench had no options and Mudua playing full 90 is the case in point. First 30 minutes we couldn't do 10 passes, Kens is right the mentality is below par. We don't have good game mentality,we lack killer instict and game management,domestically we are weak especially when we play against Pirates we turn to be defensive,I also agree 1 out of 5 we were poor,next season if we don't win the mtn8, league and 1 more domestic trophy and champions league then we will need to get another coach to Instil a soldiers mentality,to be brutally honest this loss dempens our good season
