I get what you are saying but it’s always easy for an outsider to say “they need to fix things” when families have differences. There is a lot that goes on between family members for them to reach a place where the relationship is broken down. a lot is said and done that contributes. Some people are not willing to take back things said or done, or even apologise to make the journey of healing possible. It’s not that simple and your opening statement is correct “he is the one who knows what happened”. That’s why there’s an adage that says “only the owner of the shoe knows where it is pinching them”. Healing and restoring relationships is a very long and difficult journey that requires a lot of emotional intelligence.

The visible uyibeke kahle kakhulu. It’s very unfortunate that as blacks we always form the idea that when one family member succeeds more than another it means uthwele. I think his mother’s passing makes them feel like that. It’s as if we believe people are immortal and should live forever. We love our family members but it’s only God who knows the number of days he has given each of us. Even when it comes to gifts, talents and success. They are not hereditary, it is God who gives according to his will. We can be siblings, even twins, but it doesn’t mean our destiny will be the same. We need to accept that and just be happy for each other. Not everyone is blessed with the mind of building a business and making it succeed.
