Can the Mamiya C330 TLR take good quality images? This video will give you an idea of the quality of the images that can be taken with the Mamiya C330 TLR and the 80mm lens. All images were taken by me several years ago and most were taken on Velvia slide film at ISO 50. There is a varied selection of images including still life, night time, and landscape images.

Thank you for the kind comment. It's a nice camera to use. If you don't already have one you should keep a look out for one if your interested in shooting MF Film.

Beautiful images, sharp!!

It's a camera that slows you down, so getting sharp images is not difficult when you do everything slowly 🙂

Very nice shots!! I know it does..but in my experience, the shots on my first roll were blurry, the one I mounted on my tri-pod, it’s sharp. Operator error…moving on, live and learn 😅.

That's great! They are excellent cameras. If you take your time and make sure your settings are good I'm sure you will get great results. What lens did it come with?

These are really lovely pictures with this amazing camera - thanks for sharing them. I love my C330 that I have owned for over 20 years. If only it was a little lighter, I would have taken it with me more out on photography. When I do use it I get some beautiful results and it’s so easy to use, but I am very impressed by your work.

Hi, Thank you for your comments. Like most of the people that have this camera I don't use it as often as i used to. It has a lot of things going for it, number 1 being it produces excellent images, but there are some downsides. The weight and size are a major drawback and as I get older I don't want to drag this beast up the side of a mountain. Developing the film is also a major drawback for me as I use this camera mainly with colour film I send it off to have developed and it takes a long time to get the Negs back. I do however feel the same, every time I use it I think I need to use it more often.

Hi, some really nice shots you've got there. I was up in the highlands many years ago (I'm from Ireland) and visited Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Blackrock Cottage etc. on a photographic break led by a chap called Lee Frost. I can't think of the name of it but there was another famous spot he brought us to, a waterfall with a pyramid shaped mountain in the background? Came across your video because I've become weary of digital and am in the process of going back to film and my neglected c330f. I used to shoot quite a bit of MF and even tried my hand at 4x5 back in the day. Just after subscribing to your channel.

Hi, I got the Mamiya because I was not getting the quality I wanted from 35mm film so made the step up. I still enjoy using the C330. I know Lee Frost, he used to write for Practical Photography back in late 1980 -1990 and before. I used to submit to the magazine also around that time, another reason to go to MF. Thank you for subscribing. If you would like to see specific content based on the Mamiya C330 let me know. I think the place you are talking about is Buachaille Etive Mor and the waterfall.

I remember reading Practical Photography and another magazine called Photo Answers. Both good publications. I don't track any publications any longer. I published a few articles in Practical Photography and came second in one of their monthly competitions (landscape and Nature) it was a photograph of poppies taken with the Mamiya C330 seen in this video, the poppies on the rust background, that was back in the early 1990's.
