Cute story (I think, anyway) - we went to Ollivander’s towards the end of the night and were the only ones there, so my daughter automatically got chosen for the wand ceremony. We told her she did not have to buy the wand she was given, but she was determined. A little boy in line to buy the wands said, “I got Harry Potter’s wand. Who did you get?” And she said, “I got MY wand.”

I was (still am) a huge Harry Potter fan growing up and when I walked into Diagon Alley the first time I literally teared up from how amazed I was. On that same trip, my sister was chosen in Olivanders and she'd NEVER cared about Harry Potter and to say I was jealous was an understatement.. more like livid lol. Many years ago, a chain in the UK did white chocolate and raspberry ice cream - it’s was really good. Clotted cream in ice cream is really creamy and yummy plus a it’s Cornish treat to enjoy too.

Here is my hack for not getting motion sickness on Forbidden Journey. It’s super dorky, but I lean forward and pretend I’m actually flying a broom. I move in a broom-like motion with the ride. It actually helps a lot!😂

The beginning with the HP puns, "myself with an even more robust mustache," & acting his Azkaban off." 🤣🤣 This video got dark in some places, lol, but in a fun way. My husband and I did the Ollivander’s show and he got picked. He is a firefighter whose firehouse mascot is a dragon, so when the actor tried the wand with ash and dragon tail I was floored. How did he know?? But that wand was not the one for him. Hubby joked that he thought that one would be perfect, and the actor was great: “The wand chooses the wizard!” 😂

I did Harry Potter World in April 2024. It was awesome!! The crowds were HUGE, though. It made it difficult to get around. Still, I had a great time. The trip was a birthday present from my wife (although, oddly enough, I am still paying for the trip).
