I had one of those. I made simple programs in basic and made text adventure games. It taught me how to program basic.

Still have the original RS pc-2 (sharp pc1500) and plotter I bought in 1982. All still functional.

nice :) I got one of those. its from before my time but its still fun to play with. The cassete deck on mine is also not working good. I think the belts are deteriorated. Should be an easy fix though.

I was amazed the belts were still OK on mine. If they turn to goo it can be a pain to clean.

@@mammothtechshow Yeah I agree. I'm gonna sell mine. Don't really have use for that and I dont think it goes up in value alot if I hold on to it for some time. Still a magical device ☺

Cool. Just looked that one up. Interesting that its keyboard is in alphabetical order rather than QWERTY.

@@mammothtechshow It was a bit uncomfortable to write BASIC programs. I just couldn't afford the Sharp pocket computers. They had a better BASIC interpreter and the pen plotter. My "dream" pocket was the HP-71B or better the "giant pocket" HP-75 😀

Do you have a till roll with the program listing of the text adventure that you wrote? That I would like to see. I never had a pocket pc. I have a Texas Instruments TI58 programmable calculator which is a thing of beauty and even had rom cartridges. It's a shame a leaking battery pack has long since eaten the insides.

Sadly not. I would imagine thermal paper would have faded away after this long. I believe some old calculators are getting quite collectable.

Hi, many thank for your video. I have got PC1251 & CE125 which I was using very often approx. 35 years ago. It was fantastic tool in time befor "PCs". Unfortunaly, I observed now that when trying to print the error message occurs: ERROR 01 . Is there enybody who could help me to identify where is the reason?? Thanks for every information :-).

Thanks! I have had a look in the manual and it does not seem to be a printer related error. Only Error 8 is related to the printer (paper misfeed error). The manual says... Error 1 is simply the computer's way of saying 'I don't know what you want me to do here'. To find out what the problem is recall you entry using either the < or > key.... Don't know if that helps but at least you have the internet to ask now. No such luxury back in the 80s!
Does my CD32 still work?
