I can't really express how unexpected this was. I love Mohini, but most of what I hear from her is "shred-God" stuff, and this is MUSIC. Really good music. As much as I love Mohini, I was most impressed by how she and the saxophonist (Mark?) both served the music (underplayed their abilities) until their individual solo parts, and even then held back for beauty-over-impressiveness. Mark's solo brought tears to my eyes. I was truly not expecting this. 🙏

It reminds me at times of Lost Tribe (which also featured a saxophonist, namely Dave Binney, albeit also with two guitarist). Jazzy, but muscular, with lots of catchy riffs and solos. Great stuff.

Reminds me of trioscapes(between the buried and me’s bass player) and another band called dumb waiter. Two other bands of similar styles. Prog rock meets a sax player.
