I've noticed Yasui has a handful of melodies (?) he repeatedly uses in his tracks. They never get old to me and kinda define his style in a way. I also don't know the theoretical term so I'm just gonna dub them 'yasui-isms'

i think you're referring to leit motifs, composer Toby Fox also uses leit motifs a lot (see: Undertale), it's a fun tool if you know how to use it, and Yasui definitely knows how to do a leit motif

The originals are more snappier, more dance-worthy so to say. These remixed versions are more slower, something you would expect from a slice of life anime opening imo. Nothing wrong with that, I like the remixes a fair bit!

Totally agree, the original has bass but it still doesn't really feel whole? And the lead instruments can sound the same sometimes so it sort of all just blends together. This version totally fixes it and makes all the tracks feel much more whole

I've never actually played this game before, but I can tell these are very well-made covers :) By the way, in the FTM/0cc download of the soundtrack, "will force.ftm" seems to be missing the entire main melody.
