Man Builds a Boat from Reclaimed Pallet Wood & Duck Tape

This man builds a swamp boat from reclaimed pallet wood and duck tape. Graeme gets his pallets for free from various industrial estates and supermarkets (with permission). He dismantles them in his garage using power tools and a hammer and wrecking bar. He then begins building an american-style swamp boat by glueing the pallet wood together and using screws to secure the joints. Once the frame is built he wraps duck tape around the whole boat and goes out onto the water to test it!

Basingstoke canal! ... here is an interesting and true story. My wife caught her first pike just along the bank from where you put the boat in. She had been trying to catch one for ages and was unbelievably pleased when she got it. Based on your video featuring Dusto I contacted him and commissioned a picture of her pike and the lure she caught it on as a gift for our wedding anniversary. He presented it to her at the Big One a couple of years ago. He was on a stand painting very near where you guys were. She was shocked and cried 😁

I was out Thresher shark fishing with Wayne yesterday and we came in past an enormous carrier swarming with pilot boats and police escorts....Probably the same one ??? Unbelievable how wide it is across the bow . Could get plenty of rods out on that one !!

Graeme, I didnt know how to get in touch with you but I saw a video of yours the other day where you used bread dipped in milk for coarse fish. I just wanted to say thanks. Took my 4 year old son fishing for the very first time yesterday with his own little 4m whip. Was my first time fishing in 15 years or so too. You sir have just created a most unique and versatile piece of survival equipment. To name a few uses : Bathtub, planting box, watering trough, fort, heavy duty shipping crate and this list could go on and on. Now, as for boating; I would suggest you keep it chained to a tree and never let anyone use it but yourself ..... On the other hand - Adding a set of outriggers, could make this thing into a useful device for river crossings etc -

Amazing what can be done with a few old pallets. I have watched loads of boat building projects, so many of them never get finished, or the films stop short of seeing them in use on the water ( I call these boats The Lawn Treadder ). It was so nice to see this one being rowed and just how useable it is.

Got to admire your dedication with all the pallet dismantling. I make a few odd things out of pallet wood and some of them can be a right pain to take apart, not to mention de-nailing afterwards.
