⁠@@joniedthey can’t use carbon dating for anything other than organic matter. Sticks would probably decay too quickly to ever be seen as evidence and stones erode. Besides, potassium argon is superior overall for radiometric dating old things. It’s got a better half life. Nowadays carbon dating is only really used for things older than we are but younger than a couple hundred thousand years.

@@tigertank06well he didnt waterproof the wood so yes it will rot very quickly, but if you waterproof the wood and have enough ventilation, it could last longer with less repair

Yes, that looks cute, but I doubt that it can hold up one winter without coming apart. There's a reason why you don't see these types of buildings in real life. They do not hold up.

This young man has single handedly,just demonstrated how preposterous mortgages and loans are.69 living 40 years in a home build, two stories 350 sq m, total cost under $25 K. Mostly materials from location , mud, timber, stone. Love it , a little imagination and a lot off hard work, the skill development is such a joy.

As a kid in the 70's I built a new fort every year, in trees, underground and eventually cabins. Was just in me to be my own self efficient. Would have loved to seen this video back then!

In the early 80's someone paid my grandma to dump a thousand tires on her property. That elevated my fort building to a whole new level!

@@lanceverbose1763 awesome! That reminds me... My uncle dumped a truckload of concrete forms and we built a double decker clubhouse. Later in the late nineties I brought home almost a dozen 8x8 skids left on the side of the road and built a triple decker fort for my kids.
