As an Arsenal Fan, I can agree Saka and good as he is and will be GREAT someday, he can be bothered by strong athletic defenders. I hope to see him be more assertive this game. I am of course pulling for Arsenal to win the game but I won't be surprise if either team wins. However, this is not your 2018 Arsenal, not even your 2022 Arsenal, so don't expect City to run riot! Every dynasty must come to an end. And really if My Arsenal is going to win the league, I would rather they do it convincingly by beating the Champs. City is still a great team but they are very very beatable and Arsenal is hungry and ready!

Stop these injury excuses. Last season Arsenal played Citeh without injured Saliba and Tomiyasu and nobody cared. This season Timber, Jesus, Partey, Tomiyasu, Zinna, Viera and Elneny have been out with injuries most of the season.

Grealish over Doku is insane for two reasons. Grealish hasn't been fit this season. So, it would be madness to start him against a team we must beat. Secondly, you seem to forget Doku had his best game for city in our last game, playing inside left.

Gvardiol can't play LB/wingback v Arsenal. Saka will skin him over and over. We need Ake there. Gvardiol at CB (his natural position, no problem). Pep can't play another formation like he did v LFC leaving Rodri to cover the whole midfield like he also did in the Chelsea games - Arsenal midfield will run right through us and therefore we don't have much of a choice with a pivot Kova and Rodri. Need Grealish, if not, then Foden please and if not, then I'd try Bobb given he has better control than Doku I think Pep having not consistently picked a starting 11 to gel is going to hurt us moving forward too. If you look at most teams in the league, or even us in previous seasons, they and we've all had pretty solid teams playing same players in same positions in the back half of the season yet we have not done that yet. I hope the NU game was a first step in that (injuries notwithstanding). Please no forcing Alvarez into the team. If Pep wants to rotate Haaland and Alvarez, no problem, but Alvarez in the midfield or even LW has been a disaster that throws the balance of the team completely off. Doku super sub 100%

100% agree regarding the control but if Kovacic was to play, I think he’s more likely to release Kovacic to break the lines with his sly passes and have Rodri holding a little deeper (but not much deeper). The game’s narrative can never be told on paper anymore though. Every players position comes with a “it depends”. Have the opposition got the ball, have City got the ball, have the players set defensively, is it a transitional phase? So much effects where the players are on the pitch.

Very optimistic about Haaland breaking his goal draught against Arsenal even though Arsenal has proven to be the best defense this season. The goal draught may well continue, it can go either way. Arsenal Back four will be Saliba and Gabriel in the Middle, Kiwior Left back and White Right back. If Partey plays, he will surely pair with Rice - giving him Rice freedom to move up - Gonna be a fun one. Could be boring too as both sides will be cautious! I am not sure Haaland is chomping at the bit to face Saliba and Gabriel. I do think that Arsenal need the win more than city though. A draw will only benefit Liverpool.

I hope if KDB is fit that he plays better than he did against Liverpool in active play (not set plays, set plays he was okey). Because against Liverpool he was down right horrendous, looking like a man being pursued by a murderer, always in a hurry. I won't criticize his out of possession because he was being nulified pretty well by Liverpools midfield, but that does not remove how bad he was. If Pep would've know Kevin was in such a hurry that he stopped playing Pep ball to play transitional football, Man United hoofball'esq football then he would've probably had to put Doku on that left because the man was hoofing it to Alvarez all match long instead of slowing down the play and making a pass back to get a clean start to the play.
