I thought it was shocking. Some of the absolutely worst editing I ever did see. If you have extended highlights - this video was 16 minutes long longer than most MoD highlights - you should be able to edit it better than this (even with 8 goals). Less replays and more highlights would also have helped. And why that incredibly annoying watermark right in the middle of the screen.

I can't believe the defending. This is the first time I ever saw an U21 game - be it live or on video - so I have to ask - is the defending in that game typical of the level? I have to wonder whether any of those lads at the back will ever see first team football - certainly at Premier League level.

City had the best youth team at all age groups three years running. The majority of the players who were in this team last year have been either promoted (Oscar Bobb), sold (Mebude, Borges, Shea Charles, etc) so basically this is an entirely new team. The standard of City’s youth football has been outstanding so I can only assume it will improve throughout the season. Plenty of former City youth are playing in Europe right now. Harwood-Bellis was great at Burnley; McAtee and Doyle were incredible for Sheffield. Lavia just got sold for 60m, Luke Mbete, Tosin Adibairo, Lucas and Felix Nmecha, all these players are playing at good clubs in Europe right now. Rico Lewis, Palmer, and Foden have all made it at first team level. Youth team football is about improvement not just result.
