In Malaysia, if we have a package delivery.the postman would call us if we were home. If two times he calls and we arent at home, we have to get our package from the nearest post office. Kinda cool we dont have this problem in Malaysia XD

Wredniara In the US some packages require signatures but most are just left unattended. There are also options to pick up from a nearby shipping store directly but it's not as convenient.

In the uk, well in the north east the delivery guys never leave packages outside if the owner isn't in. They either give it to a neighbour and leave a note or leave a note to rearange another delivery time.

The guy should file a police report with his local American department. If he's had Jeep parts stolen and other numerous boxes of stuff stolen off his door step. It would get annoying after a while. They look like middle class thieves too! He should turn in the security camera footage, even though the thieves faces can't be seen. Or he should buy or adopt a vicious guard dog and tie him up to something and every time thieves come up to his door step to steal boxes it can bark and growl. They seem so ghetto and the thieves should just get jobs and buy their own shit.

why do they leave the packages at the front door when nobody is home? In the Netherlands if you aren't home to receive your package they put a note through your mailbox that tells you at which other house they delivered the package so you can pick it up there later. Simple solution to a annoying problem.

Where I live, if you don't answer the door they give it to the neighbours and they take note of their address so if it's reported stolen they know exactly who to blame, the package has still has the original address on it so the neighbours know who to give it to when their back, I have never had a package stolen in my life.

In Germany, depending on the company, they either give it to your neighbor or bring it to the post office. If you order online, most companies let you choose where to bring it if you aren't around.
