My uncle who used to teach me ukulele told me to replace the regular g string on my uke for a low g string because it gives the uke a fuller sound. That's really all I know about it lol But I tried it and really liked how it sounded. But because of the low g, I have to use my other standard ukes for some songs because the low g doesn't sound as nice for every song.
