She was always getting pissed at me for really petty and stupid things, and breaking shit, pushing me, smacking me, throwing shit at me. Finally i had enough and bounced. She worked on Saturdays, and I was off on weekends. Soon as she went to work, my best friend came over and helped me pack and move everything out. It really sucked for her, since all of the living room furniture, and the TVs in the living room and bedroom, and the blender, coffee maker, and microwave were all mine. Me and my buddy both had pickup trucks, so we had no problem getting it all moved in one trip. I had been secretly apartment hunting for weeks prior too, and had just signed a lease on a new place and paid the first month and deposit on a new place the day before after I got off work. Left her ass struck like a match with rent due in just a few days, and no furniture, TVs, microwave or coffee maker lol. I was outta there!! I even went and had my number changed that day too. I became the very definition of a GHOST. No trace of me left behind, and no way to know where i went, or to contact me. It was like I never even existed at all. I was an Ironworker at the time, making bank..about $1500 a week, and this was in 2004, so i was the bread winner and paid for everything. She only worked 3 days a week at Little Caesars, and made minimum wage, which was $5.15 an hour back in those days. So she was quite literally screwed. But like you said, I warned her 🤷‍♂️
