How to watch it now can you tell me. Anyone who asks that isn't a fan. We watched it as part of our past and it's still as good now as it was then and it always will be without fail or doubt guaranteed. Remember this series was done before the magic of computers. There's many others who like me are true fans of Atlantis since our past. Not of the destruction that happened to it. And it doesn't hurt to dream. There those of us who do like to dream.

I remember watching this series in the late 70's and I was introduced to sexy, attractive, and hot Patrick Duffy before he played in the CBS hit series Dallas. I had a big crush on this sexy man back in those days. He is now 73 years old as of May 30, 2022.

Strangely this helped me overcome my fear of swimming. I’d had a bad experience as a kid and was terrified of water. Then just watching this it occurred to me that Mark spent most of his time underwater rather than, like me struggling to stay above. Next trip to the Swimming baths I just held my breath and swam breast stroke as far as I could ( in 3 ft of water). Was swimming properly within an hour. The Man from Atlantis taught me to swim ! It’s only my breast stroke that’s any use though.

A great brilliant TV series for the time it was made. From way back to my very young Boy childhood I've always loved Atlantis and all its about. I'm watching this just now on Forces TV. The great brilliant Patrick Duffy who went on to play Bobby Ewing in Dallas. This is a classic TV series I would like to get with the 4 feature films complete Boxset. But Ebay is wanting way far to much for it. 65 pounds and at that it's just impossible to get.

This was the launch of Patrick Duffy’s career in 1977. It wasn’t a ratings hit and was cancelled but he was noticed and was cast as Bobby Ewing in Dallas. The central theme was supposed to be about Bobby and Pam but it very quickly centred around dastardly JR!

I will always have fond memories of this show although the four TV movies before the short-lived series were so much better than the low-bar comic book plot lines of the weekly episodes. Patrick Duffy recently authored a “Man from Atlantis” novel (he owns the literary rights to MFA) and I absolutely loved it except for one item that I won’t mention not to spoil the story for any old fans who care to read it. I always felt Mark Harris was a kindler, gentler Aquaman.

Patrick Duffy admitted that his rapid swimming was a special effect. In fact, he lost a race to Lyle Waggoner (Wonder Woman's boyfriend) on Battle of the Network Stars. But Duffy could swim very well underwater thanks to his scuba diving experience, and that was more important for the role. Likewise, Christopher Reeve's hang-gliding experience helped him with the flying scenes in Superman.

I watched this drama when I was a kid and i dreamed every night that I was swimming in the air. When I was in year five, I went swimming for the first time and swam like Mike. I felt like I was a fish, so I had no experience of not being able to swim!
