Can you just let it go. Don’t be that guy!” YES, that’s exactly what he said to me. So, I said back to him, “if I were that guy, I would have punched her square in her mouth and knocked her teeth out. But, I would have been the one arrested and charged, even though that was self defense. So, I don’t care what you think, officer. I’m pressing charges. I want her arrested. NOW!” Still, the officer asked me what if he had her come over to apologize. I said, “obviously you didn’t hear me. She needs to learn a lesson. I’m pressing charges. End of conversation! And, I want your name, badge number, on duty supervisor, and your direct supervisor. This is not up for negotiations. You’re hear to do a job. You gathered the information. No, do your job!” Yes, she was charged and everything. I didn’t care one bit

Last time I "fit the description", I got PULLED OUT of my car by several officers - there was no "Please get out". They tried so hard to get me out of the car, they didn't even get my seatbelt off! - which added about 10-15 seconds of struggle before one of them realized and unbuckled me. They pulled me out and then brought me to the back of the car - while bringing me to the back of the car, one officer half my size **tried** to bounce me off the car (he bounced off me) and then, once I was brought around to the back of the car, another tried to slam my head into the trunk and THEN I was told to put my hands on the trunk while they searched my car - NO asking "is it OK to search". Luckily, I realized what they were trying to to - get me to do something offensive, so they would have an excuse to do what they **wanted** to do - so I didn't give them an excuse. Only THEN was I told why I was being arrested - someone had robbed a grocery store nearby (in fairness we actually **did** fit the description of the two men in a light-colored car) and they caught me and my cousin. Once the cops realized they had the wrong people - and there was a crowd around (this happened on Rhode Island avenue in DC, so people started coming out of their doors and looking through windows) one of them went into a spiel about how they are the ones in control and people need to obey. Also in fairness, they let us both go once they realized that we weren't the ones who robbed the store. Still, VERY VERY different treatment of me and my cousin vs a person WHO THEY GOT ON TAPE assaulting someone. I consider myself lucky to be here to tell this tale - god forbid I had tried to defend myself or resisted the officers in any way - even the ones who tried to cause me bodily harm.

This woman assaulted her boyfriend then called the police who showed up with guns already drawn, trained on him... until witnesses who had called dispatch on his behalf pointed out that it was her who had assaulted him. I had a psycho girlfriend that was being abusive, screaming in my ear and acting crazy in my car while I was driving. I ended up driving into a ditch on accident. While we were both outside the car inspecting the damage an older lady drove by and asked my girlfriend if she was alright. The lady then called the cops as if I was abusing her. Cops came. My girlfriend and I sat in my car. While in the car my girlfriend was trying to provoke me to hit her or something to get me arrested. I’m glad to say that I haven’t talked to that demon in 4 years.
