When I was that little girl's age I got to see my dad as a King. We were a big theater family, most of us singers (myself included), but when I was that little one's age I got to see Dad play The King in the musical King and I (Yul Brenner's role).....and it was like magic. Big dark (Italian) guy, about 6"5', 275 lbs, deep melodic voice, custom-made fancy shiny costumes. Of course we were in a crowded theater so I couldn't, but I really wanted to run around screaming "That's MY Dad, My Dad is a king!" Later on in life our relationship got a lot more complicated, he passed in 2018, and I'm nearing 50 with a short-term memory that is complete crap. But my long-term memory, with moments like that, clear as day and will be with me until the day I die. And.....I'm going to go cry now, so I will wish you a blessed day!

I love how the pianist slowed down to the man’s singing rhythm. The pianist became the accompaniment, which shows that he is a great professional pianist. The admiration that the little girl has for her father is what makes this video so beautiful. The singer may have been a opera singer because, but don’t forget, he started singing without warming up his vocal chords, is amazing. I suspect this to be another 'spontaneous act of singing' that was a lot less spontaneous than we're being led to believe. I'm trying to think of the pro violin player who participated in a social experiment about beauty and people's priorities. He stood in grand central station at rush hour and played one of the most complicated violin pieces on a million dollar plus instrument. People hurried by and barely even glanced up.
