That clip of the father teaching the kid how to drive is so heart warming! I grew up without knowing my father, but I sure will make sure my son doesn't. He can't reach the gas pedals yet, but I still put him in my lap and let him steer the car. All fathers out there, please take time to tell your son and or daughter that you love them. Do it out of nowhere. They need you!!!!

Father-son clip caught me. I learned to drive in a 66 Chevy pickup with a three on the tree. Dad had converted it to power steering, but no power clutch or power brakes. Manual windows, no power locks. No cruise control. Even taught me to do a burnout. Taught my wife to drive stick in a 62 chevy pickup with a granny four and no power anything. My boy will be spoiled, learning in a diesel(still manual trans) with power everything.

@Reyd_01 oh I must have missed the part where he said the truck was brand new or even the year. He even said it was an old truck so I'm guessing he didn't learn in an 86. I swear everybody wants to call bullshit on everything a person says even though they have no clue who they are. Especially as something as mundane as learning how to drive in a 3 on the tree. I say all this because that's exactly the first manual vehicle I drove and that was in 00 it was an old Ford then an old 70s Chevy.

That boy will remember that moment for the rest of his days. He will draw strength and fortitude from it all his life. Can anything be more empowering, than the love between a boy and his father? Most of the mass shooters are from single parent homes. Fathers stay in your boy's lives no matter what, and make sure they become GOOD MEN!

That father and son combo at 5:35 was something ONLY a man can accomplish with a boy. Not just teaching.... but masculine teaching. What was the boys response?..... I love you Dad. .....why?.... because even as young boys, we FEEL the power of masculinity. No woman can pull that off....just like no man can pull off the maternal skill that women have with babies. We both have our roles when the time is right, blurring those roles leads to confusion and disfunction.
