She severely misread the situation here, and frankly, I was really disappointed in her. She should have addressed the MOTHER’S harsh, ratchet, demeaning behavior to this man. In light of her humiliating him the way she did, he merely stated that he would address his son in private. He had a right to do this. I didn’t feel that he was unloving to the boy during the testimony period, nor was he emotionless. He stated his sadness at the words the boy spoke in not having him in his life. But you can bet your bottom dollar that it was this woman’s MOUTH that pushed him out of his child’s life.... which happens too often to these children. It’s not fair!!! MOTHERS!! Allow your children to have a relationship with their father without having to deal WITH YOU!!!! Enough said.
@Soul_Fed6 жыл бұрын
@@christinamckinney2370 if that was the case he could have mentioned that. But to say he didn't have anything to say to his son as well? That's what I didn't understand. And the judge said she understood about how he was feeling but he said that's not why he's not saying anything. The least he could have done was say something to the guy. Forget the mother she kind of made me upset too. But I wouldn't allow that to be a reason not to speak to my son.
@contextualprecision84426 жыл бұрын
No.. He didn' mention it, because he can only share the whole context with his son in private. The ratchet woman on the bench, playing Judge, and the young man's mother created an environment that's not conducive to sharing Truth in full context.

@@contextualprecision8442 nah. His son lost out on the benefit of the relationship with his father because of his doubts and denials and he is upset? Imo, Judge Lake should've stopped the mom and set that straight BEFORE jumping down the dad's throat. The dad stated that NONE of the reasons Judge Lake spoke on was the reason for his cold demeanor. @@listenhearmenow The same way that he was court ordered to pay child support is the same way that he could've gotten court ordered visitation. He wasn't in that young man's life because he didn't want to be in his life. There are many parents who don't get along, not even long enough for the custody of the child to be exchanged, so they go through family members and even the police when it's time for visitation. The mother was wrong from the beginning when she got her son to play match maker on the bus all the way up until she acted an unjustified self-righteous fool in court that day, but none of that excused how coldly he treated his son. That young man -- *his son* poured out his heart to him regarding how his absence affected him and he still put his so-called *dignity* above his *compassion* (if he even has any) toward him. That "father" is a prime example of the difference between a male and man, and if he's lucky, someday his son can teach him what it means to be a man.

yonnie2436. He's been paying child support for years not knowing if the kid was his and was denied being in the child's life. Her integrity was shot in the first minute of this video when she said he signed the birth certificate when it was typed in. As much as I want to blame the father, the mother was just as worse in how she handled the situation. As much as I watch paternity court, the judge was totally biased in this one. She didn’t call out the woman for her lies especially the first one with the birth certificate but criticized the father for his reaction.
@keanaspencer21696 жыл бұрын
Mike W that's what paternity tests are for. Once parental status is substantiated, visitation rights would be be the next move. He can't blame her, if he did nothing about it. She has proven herself unworthy, by cheating/habitual lies. He knew the type of vindictive chick he was working with.

I think the father is hurt and needs his space and proper time to mourn and accept. The way the mother was behaving after the results were read, just hurt him even more all over again. The mom's outburst right after the results were read probably put him off, all that "I told you," and "give my son some respect; hug him." The reason that man acted that way was for several reasons (1) the way she lied and said he signed the birth certificate when he didn't (2) the way she moved on 2-3 weeks later (3) all the secrets she kept (4) how when the judge asked the son about how this made him feel he only placed the blame on the dad and not his mother as well (5) then the way the son only gave praises to his mother when his father did indeed pay child support for all them years. But he will come around he just doesn't want nothing to do with her.

No, you didn't nail it. Paying child support doesn't mean anything without time. That's what kids need, especially young boys is TIME! Of course he's going to place blame on him, he wasn't there. The young boy didn't know about the secrets, so how is he to blame. At the end of the day, the mother RAISED her son. That old fool wouldn't have paid if jail wasn't an option. Also, ask this happened 25 years ago. What does that have to do with his son, NOW?!!!

the young man & his father both share a quiet peaceful demeanor, nice mellow vibe. I don't blame the man for wishing to wait till later to embrace his son. The mom is all "Go see your daddy!" & it was just too bizarre & surreal to talk like that after the uncertainty of years, as the mom herself was uncertain & felt the father of her son could possibly be a different man. I think the young man is very nice & that his father will find joy in being his dad & the children's grandfather. The young man's father has been very responsible financially over the years, & now he can truly feel good about that.

As soon as the DNA said he was the father, that woman started in with, "Give my son his respect. Give him his respect!" right after the father had also learned that there was another man that could have been the father. He has paid $32,000 in child support and felt he could not come around due to the mother's attitudes with things over the years. I understand him not wanting to "obey" her demand. I believe he wants to be a good father but does not want to be around the mother anymore at all. I believe she "froze" his heart at least for those moments.
