Man Overboard on Cruise Ship, Passenger Arrested for $100,000

I was on that west bound QM2 Transatlantic. I managed to dodge the Naro. My travel companion came down with it just as she was getting home from her flight. Did not make Christmas any fun. Oh, and she gave it to her husband. Even less fun.

The ships need an infrared drones in man overboard scenarios. The GPS can coordinated through the ships nav computer. Ships going 20 kts cover a lot of ground.

Prayers for the man overboard and his surviving family. And how can one go so long without supporting their children and being a responsible parent? That just blows my mind. This does make me wonder what other types of “criminals” are sailing alongside me that the cruise line is totally aware of and may not have outstanding warrants but possibly guilty of something of something. And too bad for those passengers on the QM2 that has to be awful. I would only want to be sick like that at home or in the hospital. Definitely not on a cruise ship in the small confines of cruise ship quarters. Thanks for sharing my friend. As always, it is greatly appreciated. ✌🏾🗞️🛳️🗞️🥰

The connection is the deadbeat dad had an outstanding warrant; part of cruise lines’ security protocol is interfacing with law enforcement data bases to identify people who may pose a security threat or have outstanding legal issues like felony warrants. The system (hopefully) keeps dangerous felons (like registered sex offenders) off cruise ships; and also snags folks who have open warrants
