Alot of misreading happening in the comments. The plaintiffs and defendants ENTERED into a NEW contract when both parties AGREED to the deal of : "Plaintiff gets free car repairs / Defendants do not get sued for the fight". The plaintiff bringing the lawsuit anyway BREACHES that agreement. Judge Judy is forcing him to HONOR the new contract they entered when they released to him his car REPAIRED for FREE. In my view it does fit the clean hands doctrine, he admitted he made the deal with a man he knew was not the owner of the garage. If you hire somebody to do several thousand dollars worth of work with zero intention of ever paying them then that's fraud. Perhaps he will think twice next time after this little episode. I think the settlement that they had agreed out of court, which he admitted to, was fair because the son shouldn't have pushed him over or shut the car door on his leg. At the end of the day all he had were bruises, the amount of physio sessions he had for bruising was ridiculous.

This clown likely instigated the whole altercation on purpose. Then went and bruised up the area where he hit. He's an absolute HUSTLER. And the shop owners were victims. From beginning to start.

@@shendisackettI think "unclean" hands generally applies to illegal activity. Plaintiff's problem was that he initially had an agreement with his mechanic friend. Mechanic friend got the benefit and was supposed to fix the car, not the shop. So the shop said, since you didn't make an agreement with us and you won't pay us, you won't get your car. Then they made the mistake of assaulting him, after the assault and car damage, he made an agreement with the shop to dismiss his claims against them if they give him his fixed car. Then he sued them anyway, thereby going against their agreement. He should've sued his mechanic friend. lol

No kidding. That day he was home whining about his knee and he watched Judge Judy for the first time, that little siren in his brain should’ve told him, “Don’t do it. You’re no match for her!”

Oh what tangled webs we weave when we practice to deceive. The plaintiff is a loser. Sometimes, JJ says.."You'll never know where I am going." Well, I know, she is going like a laser to the truth..no matter how convoluted the situation is.

The plaintiff agreed to take the car without paying for the work that was done in exchange for his medical bills/damage to the car. That’s the contract he made, and he can’t go back on it now. The evidence for that is that the defendants wouldn’t have released the car back to him otherwise.
