If the slang bothered him and wanted it corrected, the correct phrase would have been "Judge, the technical term for my dog is Staffordshire terrior and I would prefer be called as such", not "it's not a pitbull". His phrasing made it seem like a pitbull is a completely different dog breed, and he used it to make it seem like his dog wasn't the dog that did it

A staffy and a Pitbull are 2 very different breeds. If it is a staffy he has then you shouldn't classify it as a Pitbull. Many people outside USA have staffys and putbulls are illegal to own on most countries outside USA. Staffys aren't usually aggressive but will defend themselves, whereas Chow's are known to be highly aggressive dogs. Hence why the Chinese use them to guard the house, they will attack without hesitation.

All pet dogs were selectively bred for thousands of years to be companion animals for humans. Pitbulls may cause the most attacks, but the statistics also show that the most common breed of dog to be strays are pitbulls. Any feral animal, regardless of breed, can pose threats to people. Because pitbulls are large and strong, maniacal people abuse them and hurt them. If any other dog breed was treated the same way, they'd behave the same way. If people trained their dog with love and care, it wouldn't matter if the dog was half Wolf, the dog would still be loving and loyal, because humans bred them to be that way. But they're animals capable of complex emotion, and when humans mistreat them and they run away as strays, their wild instincts take over to survive. These are dogs that people created. We over here acting like dogs are bioengineered weapons of mass destruction, like coming to the conclusion of banning pets. C'mon. Seems a little excessive to me. We gotta stop blaming the animal for the responsibility of what evil humans have done. Literally any other breed of dog would behave the same way if they were mistreated as pitbulls often are.

In PG County they used to have a ban on Pit Bulls and they considered 4 breeds pit bulls. Staffordshire Terrier was legally considered a pit bull.

Awful thing to happen you, i hope with time you will heal, the trauma is real and you will recover!!!! - I was walking in our local field with my young son yesterday afternoon. I was looking towards the exit and out of no where my son turned and commented "Oh My God", i looked at him confused, I turned my head and i could see this tan coloured pitbull running at full speed across the field towards us. I have a huge phobia of dogs and the speed of this dog running towards my son and i made me cry and shake with fear. I was litreally dragging my son different directions as it kept circling me and him. I was screaming so loud and a few seconds later his owner came jogging slowly after it. I have never been more terrified, this dog's mouth was huge and i have never felt more frightened. I intend to ring my local council on Monday. Hopefully, they will find the owner and give him a warning. I'll never walk through that field again.

The supposed more dangerous dog was attacked and mauled by another dog. Yet the Defendant wasn't attacked by this more dangerous dog, nor was his dog. Chows were bred for mainly protection, but they were also used for Hunting, Pulling and Herding. Pitbulls were bred to bite and hold bulls, bears and other large animals by the face and head. When baiting animals became illegal, the pittbull was instead bred for dog fighting.

My sister has had many staffies and we had a chow growing up. The chow bit 2 kids when it got loose so we had to put him down. 2 of my sister’s dogs got into horrible fights and bit her multiple times when fighting. Both breeds have issues, but honestly I think someone has a horror story about every breed of dog. However, it seems pit bulls are more likely to be chosen by ppl who have no business owning any animals in the first place, so there are many more bad stories about them.

I've never met a chow that wasn't aggressive, not to say there aren't any, but that was down south. I think they are happier in colder weather. The heat makes them dehydrated and angry, I think. Would you agree?

I can’t imagine a basset hound ever attacking another dog like this. Why? Because basset hounds were trained to work as a team and not kill. There are horror stories about basset hounds as well, but they are about food stealing, howling, and attempting to house break one. Certainly not about hurting another dog or a person.

I passed some old people with a Staffordshire terrier and it was pleased to see me. I walked past with my dog and he was pulling violently on his leash, growling, barking trying to get at my dog. They are a breed known for fighting. They’re hard wired. The old people certainly didn’t mistreat or train him to be combative. Deny it all you want. Some dogs are just plain mean.

Agree,had one in our neighborhood, sweet,follow my son and his 2 friends,age 5,and play with him.one day my son walked by him and he attacked him,ripped his earlope off,and would of done more but my son quickly ran up a slide.did not do anything to provoke him.the owners had a 4 month old baby who was learning to crawl.they put the dog down cuz if it attacked my son who adored the dog it would hurt the baby..had a childhood friend get attacked by a neighbors chow who also played with us kids,out of the blue it attacked her and would of mauled her to death but the owner raced out and shot it dead.chows are unpredictable

LMAO! No dog in the history (according to their owners) of domesticated canines, has one ever attacked or bitten anyone or anything. IN USA alone in 2022 10 million dog attacks on humans, they don't really track dog on dog, (so to speak). On a side note in relation to the danger of dogs and other animals, sharks for instance, in 2022 there were 108 shark attacks.

Defendant says he has an 80lb Staffordshire Bull Terrier??? What?? Did he glue 2 together? Staffies are small to medium dogs and even the largest ones don't go over 40lb. Anybody familiar with dogs knows he's lying, because Staffies have a gentle nature he probably thinks it sounds better to JJ. Trouble is she's very into dogs and the breeds, so I assume she will know there's no such thing as an 80lb Staffie.
