We both were in second marriages. I had to quit work due to serious autoimmune disease medical issues and my husband was working two full time jobs. His mother was diagnosed with dementia and we were helping care for her, then my mom fell off a bed resulting in her being a quadriplegic. She lived across the country from us. The best day in our lives was when we were able to pay off our mortgage allowing my husband to take early retirement from one of his jobs, freeing up money for flights to CA to help my parents, and giving us the peace of mind that whatever happened we would always have our home. Thank you Secret Santa.

Its pure hell trying to figure out what can be wrong with your back, and this just shows us how quick a life can change by a quick slip. Its probably draining mentally for him as well so this gift will hopefully give him something else to think about. There is a man that is just realising things have just made a big impact on his future.

It took me 5 years to figure out a solution for my back pain, I got cortisone shots in my back like he did it sounds like and I am finally no longer living in constant pain. So happy for this man and his family I hope he gets well soon.

I slipped and fell on ice, December 10, 2007. I was raising my 2 year old daughter alone. I had my 1st of 6 surgeries in 2008. That held off the pain for 3 years. Now, almost 17 years, 10 years on disability, 6 surgeries and 2 spinal cord stimulators later, my chronic pain gets worse, the older I get. But other people have it worse. I always survive. I'm able to handle a couple of part-time jobs to supplement my disability. BTW... my now 19 year old daughter was given a full ride to a private college in Western Mass. She's turned out amazing, with tons of empathy. ❤

Alright , how many other people have watched this several times? When Bodey saw the check to his mortgage company he quickly closed the box and was like , WHAT ?? And then looking again and again as if to say , "is this real" and is this really happening to me! And his smiling eyes and voice crackling because he is on the verge of tears.............. Falling on ice can be very life changing, I fell last Christmas, broken right collar bone, ribs and left hand. Recovering is slow and depressing, though my wish is others learn how dangerous it can be an take more safety precautions. 🙏

As someone who suffered spinal nerve damage as the result of a botched vertebroplasty, I know all too well how excruciating & debilitated back pain can be. As well as how much relief spinal epidural injections can give. I truly hope & pray the doctors are able to adjust those injections in order to alleviate his latest struggle! 💞

sending prayers ,I hope things get better. you could see how grateful. I fell on the ice too 15 years ago and had a pinched nerve and I hurt my lower back and legs. I felt better for about 3 weeks and then I felt the worst pain ever. Had to quit my job. I have CRPS please tell him to look this up..I hope he files for ssd.. I ended up with a stimulator to help with the pain. its a terrible illness. I hope someone can share this with him..please.. it may be what he has..
