It's like someone took a normal RC monster truck - added a few drops of awesomness - and BOOM - the most amazing RC the world has ever seen is here. I wish I could take the credit for building and designing this beautiful machine - but I can not as it is the brain-child of Dan D'ana from Primal RC. This is the first straight-axle Monster Truck that is 1/5th scale, gas powered - and is readily available to the public to purchase. www.primalrc.com
I have had this truck for several weeks now, and have run 3 solid tanks of fuel through the stock engine. I have it screaming now.. at the top of its speed - but its begging for more. I can certainly understand why Primal RC had put in the 49cc engine. It's almost like its a "trainer" engine.. getting you ready for the "Next Level" - but I have to say.. this entire machine is ALREADY "Next Level".
I give you a run down on my machine.. a few different things I noticed and even a quick repair!

It looks really well built. Considering the forces that this truck endured from all those jumps it has held up so well. I think the RTR with small motor setup is good, so many RC's come out with powerful motors but with weak points that break elsewhere and require lots of upgrading. I would be pretty happy with the stock power, it's a monster truck and doesnt need to be super fast.

Hater gonna hate brother. We love ours, regardless of some of its short comings! So many great modification planned for it such as the TMR motor upgrade. Both front steering servo's on ours gave up but meh, RTR servo's are not always the best anyway. Braaaap on bro! Love this hobby!

I loved your videos on the truck. I almost wonder if the reason your servos failed and Medic's have not is his servo horns were loose enough they slipped at the harder landings, and the horns on your truck were torqued down better putting all of that stress on the servo themselves.

I apologize for a " boring comment " haha , i agree with everything you said Brother , the real fast engine is the one called innovation , its drives the hobby and all the fantastic stuff that comes along with it . In my opinion even if it was super fast i would still want to make it faster . Like you said modifying , upgrading RC's if half the fun ! I greatly appreciate your time and dedication to the hobby , you are one of many on youtube that helped get me back into the hobby .

I am only just getting back in to the hobby after a 30 year break. I have started where I left with some old Tamiya cars they are great for reminiscing my youth. I have my sights set on the Traxxas UDR as my next step in the RC game. But this BEAST from Primal is nothing but jaw dropping in every way. Having the responsibilities of kids and a house etc in my life I can't see myself in the position financially anytime in the immediate future to be able to outlay that sort of money on any RC. Big thumbs up to Primal for a magnificent truck you guys should be proud of this thing!

I've been in the hobby since 1994. I have never seen an RTR with a engine that had more than enough power. If I wanted more power I upgraded plain and simple. This rc is an engineering marvel. I love it and can't wait to have this in my arsenal.

Hey . It does remind me of the old clog buster. I must’ve built that kit about four times for friends. But construction on that beast is so solid it is beautiful. The engine is fine the way it is to start out. But I can’t wait for the future.!! It’s got to be crazy fun to drive. That double chain and Twin sprocket wow!!! Quite impressed. The scale is awesome and the tooling is incredibly well done. Medic when you picked it up and put that behemoth on the table I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Absolutely ridiculous.... I too love the direction the RC industry is headed and HATS OFF to Primal RC for bringing the RC community this beautiful truck. I agree with everything you said when it comes to the engine and I would want to be able to upgrade something. I mean look at this thing, what else could you upgrade and it's not my kind of RC if I can't put my own for better words "STANK" on it. Total beast of a machine. I mentioned something on a previous video that you touched on in this one. With a machine made from aluminum and steel that large, you really don’t want it moving real fast. As size and weight increase, so do the forces that can act on humans it comes in contact with. Some things just shouldn’t go super fast. It’s good to see its held up as well as it has given its size and the beating you have given it. Looks good to me. Like a few others, I’m a bit jealous. I can’t justify the cost of this machine.

I just want to say, this is not a go-fast machine, as far as things getting loose, well that's the hobby, I work on my rigs as much as I drive them. Three tanks and it's time for maintenance. Love this thing. I just wish I could afford one!

Thank you very much for the heart. I am in your boat with a bad back also. I fell out of a truck and got ran over by it going 50 + miles an hour. 😬 The only thing that saved me was it had big mud tires and it just rolled over me... But let me tell you I felt it the next day. Now I have degenerative disc disease and radial tears in my l4 l5 and s1 plus a bunch of intestinal problems on top from all of the stupid medication they gave me.. it's all I can do to even get up out of bed and put my shoes on some days. But hell yeah keep rocking that big-ass truck at things awesome... And thank you very much for so many years of. I'm glad to see your little boy is growing up. This thing is an absolute beast. I don’t have $3,000 to drop on an RC, but this thing is a dream for any RC hobbyist. To all of the people complaining about different things on the truck, if you don’t like it, then don’t get one. If you want one but want more power, drop an extra $150 on a bigger engine. You just spent $3,000 on the truck, so what would an extra $150 do? I’m perfectly happy with the way it is now, and I want to see it pull The Judge.
