"Are you obstructing my investigation!@!!!". That really sums up the true meaning of that phrase. "Let me do what I feel like, without being recorded, or judged, or I will harm you and throw you in a cage". Also, I have to say, for a dog "approaching aggressively", they sure seem unphased. Standing around unharmed, hands in pockets, ready for more. And the time it would take for them to search around for a weapon, pull out pepper spray, for that spray to dissipate, you would think it would be some sort of prolonged attack. But by their own admission they were never attacked, a dog just walked by and was beaten and pepper sprayed indefinitely. It's pretty crazy to me anyone would believe them, and they go on to attack another person, claim it was HIM who was aggressive. And STILL people believe them. STILL, it's everyone else not being civil about it. And not that it really matters, but I have 0 doubt in my mind these animals would have shot that dog if it gave them the chance. None of their bs adds up, and their true nature is on display for the world for anyone who doubted it. And we still all get to continue living with these animals in society, armed, badged, shopping in your local grocery store right behind you in line. Like he's one of you.

It never ceases to amaze me how, when a cop has done wrong or broken the law, it takes soooooo long for cops to "investigate" yet cops can "investigate" a citizen and within seconds can have enough to place them under arrest. Further, any cop that attacks a person's pet, they should be immediately fired, charged with cruelty to animals and never be a cop again.

In order to resist which is a physical act an officer must first have the authority to use force against a person. Here it's obvious the citizen was in no position or place to interfere as accused and words alone cannot be resisting or interference. So we are left with aggravated assault and battery under color of law, unlawful detention, restraint and arrest under color of law and malicious prosecution under color of law. The right to resist any of these things is constitutionally protected so further deprivation of rights under color of law. Imagine a prosecutor who actually charged officers the same way they charge victims. This officer would be facing multiple decades of prison time for all of his criminal acts. Instead we are investigating to see if there are any policy violations and if we need to put a note in the officers personnel file. Don't sweat the resisting charge unless you can first get to the PC allowing a warrantless arrest. This is a clear case where any supervisor, prosecutor or court should immediately dismiss charges as no court or judge could issue a constitutional warrant for arrest based upon the events so far known from the video. Would be fun to compare the arrest/probable cause statement to the actual facts in a truly transparent and open service to justice.

as much as l detest how cameras are everywhere (I've disliked them since I was a wee child) this is a perfect example of the need to film any/all police street encounters - even if you're a complete stranger. in my 6 decades of life, the "rights" the police have adopted are WAY out of line. earn the respect, not the hate ☮️

Amazing how the dispatcher can state definitively that things didn't happen the way the caller stated despite an "open investigation" being conducted..... BS!

There needs to be established a chain of thousands, hundreds of thousands, of Americans ready to file complaints and charges against cops like this EVERY SINGLE TIME they step out of line. Each and every American filing these complaints and charges should then follow up with inquirys into their complaints, FOIA everything about the PD, the chief and the cops and put the PD out of service due to the sheer amount of paperwork they need to do, until they start acting like cops instead of thugs.

How about a Copwatchers Union? Does such a thing exist? It should...
@slimnim17532 жыл бұрын
I think what you guys are talking about is a civilian review board... but with actual civilians and not lawyers and or the such. Ongoing investigation we can't talk about it. We'll. Is all evidence gathered? Then yes... we the jury of peers get to decide. On a non bias level was there a crime? Was response proper for said crime? So on and so forth
@XJWill12 жыл бұрын
@@slimnim1753 No, definitely not. Civilian review boards are worthless. I am talking about a union of copwatchers, to watch the cops, pass information to each other, and hold the cops accountable. I am talking about a large, powerful group with thousands of members.
@johngalt972 жыл бұрын
@@XJWill1 Correct, civilian review boards inevitably get infiltrated and neutered. Decentralized government accountability movements are the only chance of holding LE accountable. As soon as there are more than 2 in any organization there's potential for corruption.

There has to be an effort to hire police officers who have underlying Personality Disorders. Every time I see one of these videos, I can almost diagnose the officer's problem just by watching them. Paranoid personality disorder, they mistrust and are suspicious of others. They believe that others are trying to demean, harm, or threaten them. Schizoid personality disorder, distant, detached, and indifferent to social relationships. Dramatic personality disorders have intense, unstable emotions and a distorted self-image. They also often tend to behave impulsively. These disorders include Antisocial personality disorder or “sociopaths” or “psychopaths.” This disorder is characterized by rash, irresponsible, and aggressive behavior, which often is expressed by a disregard for others, people with this disorder often commit serious crimes and have a lack of remorse for their actions. A borderline personality disorder is marked by unstable moods, poor self-image, chaotic relationships, and impulsive behavior. And my favorite which describes many police officers is Narcissistic personality disorder which is characterized by an exaggerated sense of superiority and a preoccupation with success and power. However, this preoccupation is fueled by fragile self-esteem. People with this disorder are very self-centered, tend to lack empathy, and require constant attention and admiration, you know how they always want to be thought of as HEROS. Now after reading these few, can you pick out a police officer who fits one or more of these mental health descriptions? I can, in just about every video on line.
