I think the disrespect from Maresca to Nkunku and Felix is too much. On a good day, they are unplayable. 1. Jackson had an off game so just replace him with nkunku. 2. Sub Neto and bring on Felix to add energy and a bit of bite to the attack. 3. Madueke has no business starting a game ahead of Nkunku and Felix. 4. Play Cucurella at left back and stop putting Gusto there. 5. Mr Maresca had two more subs to make and we has quality on the bench but decided not to. 6. His tactics is gradually making Reece James useless on the pitch since he can't join the attack. As we all know, James thrives on attacking and putting in dangerous crosses and scoring bangers as well. All of these qualities of his has been taking away by Maresca not allowing him to join the attack and relying on wingers only to o do that job. 4-3-3 can be an option. We could have won this game though.

Please, the coach is still building this team. He has to try the players in different positions even if they are not convenient. If he always play them at their preferred positions the team will be predictable by opposition teams. This is a process, moreover, he is also managing James injury problem whilst trying to get him in rhythm. Maresca has a plan, and what is doing is a process. He knows Robert Sanchez is not a good passer of the ball but he sees the potential and if he could develop that aspect of his game. Chelsea will have a generational goalkeeper with Fili as deputy.

But you can't tell me it's wise to pick a square peg and put it in a round hole while you have a round peg available in the name of building. You actually do damage to what you are building. Cucurella and Veiga are better at left back than Gusto so they must play that position unless the are all injured. 2. You don't play players out of position if you want the best from them. 3. Mareca's tactics doesn't allow full backs to join the attack, one full back play as an invented full back so switch into midfield to add numbers to the midfield. It's cucurella or Gusto who plays that role so James is not allowed to join the attack which takes that attacking threat he brings to the team from his game. With your take on supporting playing players out of position, do mean to tell me you would be ok if Sanchez is played as a striker and Jackson keeps the post. Finally, the good keeper we had in Petrovic, Maresca sent him out on loan. Sanchez has more mistakes in him though on a good day he makes great saves. As for Jorgensen, he is a terrible goal keeper.
