The Jaibot with all it's included features to make it easy is sooo cool!

You can tell jaibot what to do when it hits rebars, drill thru or abort.

Such a great video! We've had a few opportunities to get our hands on the JAIBOT, but never race it! It's amazing just how much time it can save, let alone "spines". I don't know many construction workers that wouldn't rather be doing something else while the robot does the overhead work.

Very impressive. It sure looks like jobsite robots are here to stay.

I’m wondering how this tool is is marketed. I can see the major construction companies being able to absorb the cost but I see other opportunities for a cottage industry to sprout up.
@DMSparky3 жыл бұрын
Okay very cool idea but just thinking from a PM perspective really only large new construction projects could probably afford these kinds of tools. But if it’s new slab shouldn’t you try to use cast-in inserts before they pour slab. If you have to use a total station anyways.

You’re 100% right this is not for every job, but it’s pretty cool for the ones that it is for

$200k for the machine $100k for the operator training maintenance you in almost half million before you drill your first hole.

How much $ per hole

Around 15k a month to lease, and Hilti will train a person on your site. It's really not that bad considering the productivity gains you can get out of it!

I am not in the construction industry in anyway, well maybe if you include making mud paddies when I was six. It is sad to see this is the replacement of jobs in the industry. This was a semi-autonomos system. Wait until AI is added and it goes full autonomous. Soon all you will see is 15 people on the first day for material and robot set up and programing. Of course materials will be delivered using full autonomous delivery trucks. Then press the start button and you could have 24/7 operations with 1 to 4 people taking care of material supply and general maintenance of the equipment.

I do work in the construction industry and nobody wants to get on a lift and drill holes in the ceiling all day long. We have a serious labor shortage in the industry and it is expected to get worse. JAIBOT does the work nobody wants to do which actually frees up manpower to do what they do want to do, like assemble and install mechanical systems.

And I’m totally joking, by the way.

Ok sure, should you calculate in software design for robot to know where the holes are as man using laser. How about cost man vs machine, robot up and down floors, also man can use a scissor lift. It stupid comparison.
@craigmaiwald13337 ай бұрын
All JAIBOT jobs pull data from the design model. All JAIBOT needs is a file with the anchor drill hole locations. JAIBOT is less then 3ft wide, fits through standard doors and goes up and down via the man lift, just like everyone else.

How much do you have to pay the guy to operate this machine or get it in position. Extreme waste of money. The only good reason for this is in dangerous situations. Most dangerous situations the robot can get into. Or how much to repair it
@rmkensington Жыл бұрын
You have no understanding of what this tool can do. It can layout, drill, vacuum, and mark 600 holes a day. You need about 5 workers + to do this.
@TrolloTV Жыл бұрын
Yeah mate, I’m sure Hilti will waste millions on developing a product that is nothing but a waste of money 👍🏻
@craigmaiwald13337 ай бұрын
You are typically paying someone to layout the location, transfer to the ceiling at height and then drill overhead already. JAIBOT takes one operator and can layout, transfer and drill all day every day. Accurately, productively and safely.

They have not really this shitty vacuum inside there 🙄 I‘m personally not a friend of Hilti to expensive for such bad tools! The only thing that is good from them is the big hole drilling technology👍

When’s the last time you’ve used Hilti, because they’re cordless has just been getting better and better and better?
@rmkensington Жыл бұрын
It's not a shitty vacuum, it works perfectly fine. Haters be hating
@TrolloTV Жыл бұрын
If your opinion had any sort of nuance one might actually want to believe your shit. But speaking of the market leader in several segments as a manufacturer of straight up „bad tools“ is just stupid and nobody will take you serious
@craigmaiwald13337 ай бұрын
The JAIBOT uses the Hilti VC140 cordless vacuum hardwired with a blank battery connector directly to the main battery pack. Works really well and it is off the shelf product should it need a repairs or replacement
