Monique - I would be flirting with you if I said ''You look beautiful?''. It's called complementing, ain't nothing wrong with that. It's not even cheating. I'm a man and if I see a beautiful woman I let her know that she's beautiful.

My brother and I also waited by a door, 46 years ago, and more than once. My father has passed on but his actions (or inactions) permanently scarred us. Absent parents have no idea of the lasting damage they inflict on their children.

Sometimes these lies by omission come back to bite Black women. Oftentimes. No need to talk bad about dad. Simply tell the truth as age appropriate. Framed as a lesson. Since parents sometimes teach us how NOT to be.

My dad did the same thing. I was minding my business eating cereal watching Saturday cartoons. My dad called out the blue to pick me up. Oh I was excited. He never showed. I'm 37 now. Won't allow him in my life at all. I'm still angry he made me use my energy to pack my bag, take a bath, and wait for many hours and he never showed. Any car coming down the street i thought was him. He doesn't get that privilege to be in my life.

Marie Alphonse The basis of this show is to establish paternity, not go back and forth about who was the most trifling. His actions play a major role as to why it took so long to find out that he was the father. I strongly believe that is why he is receiving so much backlash. When he saw her at the party he was more concerned about his “girlfriend” finding out. He avoided that “burden” for 22 years and it has finally caught up with him.
@MartianBlues11

Marie Alphonse You are focused on the woman having a one night stand with her friend’s fiancé but didn’t focus on the fact that her friend’s fiancé was a married man who had no problem cheating on her! And then he ditched the kid that he knew could have been his and didn’t bother to find out paternity until the kid was grown. And you want to talk about fair?! Keep that same energy!

My son had the same treatment and his father knew he was the father. The damage that is done to children because of some mens’ egos and resentment towards the mother is unforgivable. That broke my heart, Damone talking about waiting at the door for his Daddy. I can relate so much. I wish I could reach through that screen and just hug that young man. I felt that hurt so much. You lay down and spread your seed, life stops being about you, it’s about The Most High and them kids.
