Storms is a deep bass (basso profondo). He possesses a vocal range of 10 octaves (G/G#−5 to G/G#5). He has extended his lower range to G−7 (0.189 Hz) while breaking his own record for the widest vocal range for a male singer. His lowest frequencies can only be heard by elephants and various animals that use low frequencies for communication, as well as dedicated scientific measurement devices. His particular vibrato technique accompanied by his sub-audible range was clinically studied in 2015-16 by leading gastroenterologists at Brown University and successfully proven to aid in IBS and severe cases of Colon Compaction.

I think the thing that blows me away the most is how this unbelievably talented man retains a smooth a silky voice even at the lowest notes. I love singing baretone, though when I get to my lowest note (around C1) my vocals tend towards creating sound with subharmonics (i.e 'falsetto') and thus I create a more choppy sounding vocal with artifacts. Controlling this to maintain a steady and smooth sound is incredibly difficult. I commend this guy for pulling off these notes so well. He perhaps may be the most impressive singer I've ever seen. I can do the same. It's called vocal fry. Ken Trussell of Gold City Quartet could sing very low as well. I actually played their video of "Rainbow of Love," and I was able to match him all the way to the bottom.

So Incredible! Perfect key for you, that was butter. but argh I keep trying to sing along but i just cant get down to that 0 register without turning into frog mode, I think if i really tried I could get there.. maybe.. I feel we actually have a very similiar tone especially in that 60 hz range which gives me hope. Any tips on getting to that next lower register? I feel like my fry is the right frequency, but theres just no power down there to get out a good harmonic

He’d take it down a couple octaves just to show off a bit, I’m sure. His latest recorded lowest note was apparently a G -5, and he supposedly holds the World Record of lowest voice with a G -7 (if I remember correctly).

Like to hear him tackle what the Russian Basso Profundos used to sing: good solid classical music or good solid ethnic music! You probably know about these but others might try this kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6OWkpqKiblsrZY and this also kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqaolHabhKehhNE to see what Basso Profundo might really sound like and be musical, not just an amusing oddity.
