When should I hit the "save" button to save my trail for the day? At the beginning of the day when I first leave the launch or the end of the day when I get back to the launch? I am a little confused if I need to hit save at the beginning of the day to save the days events or at the end of the day to save what I have recorded that day. Thank you for any info.

When you set up or create a NEW trail, you initially need to hit "save" to start recording that trail. It will then keep doing so until you stop or delete it. There's no need to hit save at the end of the day to store that trail. Also, that trail will simply continue to record next time you use the unit without you needing to do anything. Hope that helps.
