I'm originally from Tiruchirapalli/Bengaluru and have been living in the U. S. since 1967. I I'm 77. I know very little, if any, Sanskrit; however, thanks to the availability of abundant literature (recently, KZbin videos), I'm learning a few things about the art of living. I rarely watch any video or read any material with much focus. This video, somehow, fascinated me. I'm indebted to the professor for rekindling my interest in Bhagavad Gita and read with focus. Much obliged, Sir. May Bhaghavan Krishna be with you always to guide you guide us. Love.

Good talk by the esteemed professor. More talks like this are welcome. India has everything. The only problem is that we have to reinvent and reinterpret it? "Sarva dharman parithyajya mamekam sarana vraja". (leave everything and surrender unto me) "Akasat pathitam thoem etha gachathi sagaram, Sarva deva namaskaram Kesavam prathi gachati". "Work as if everything depends on you. (after that) Pray as if everything depend on God". (you are not the doer) "Avan arulaal avan thal panindu". Even to pray to him you need his permission/blessings.

Yes, among many other things, Bhagavad Gita is definitely also about leading a life of equanimity while in this world, not away from this world. Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji has said - 'Inside Rama Outside Drama', being calm inside live and enjoy in the world outside.
