Why doesn't the interviewer correct the candidate when the candidate keeps saying from the get-go the PE firm wants to take the company public? The interviewer really led the interviewee to waste 7 minutes

haha I came to the comments for the exact same reason. I don't know why the interviewer doesn't say anything especially because the girl asks to clarify.

The candidate seems to switch from private to public and public to private during the course of the case review. Either she was misspeaking or confused and should have asked for clarification on which direction the deal was.
