I tried this with my 2 Absa loans, the first access bond, I ask the bank to capitalize the lump sum and reduce my monthly payment and keep my terms, but now I can't access that cash but I like the fact that my payment is reduced saving me on interest payment. Second access account, I add a lump sum but didn't ask the bank to capitalize it, the money is accessible to me anytime but it doesn't generate any interest. Am I doing something wrong? I have called Absa and according to their customer service I can only benefit from it by capitalizing and reapply again when I need it and payment will definitely go back up.

Thnks for this video. Pls advise how it impacts the loan term and installment when you access all or some of the money that you have saved in your access bond account after a year or so.

My bond is paid up but the account is still open. Long story, but the bank is being sticky about refinancing me. Would it still be worth my while to save into the bond account?

Is it a good idea to use my personal loan to deposit a property or buy one?
@propertycornerZA Жыл бұрын
Rather spend some more time saving up. Personal loans have very high interest rates and short repayment terms which will cause high instalments.

I have about 700k in savings and an outstanding bond of about 1.2 mil. Getting 13% interest from African bank. Would it still be be wise to have it moved to my access account?

Good day. I am in the process of selling one of my properties. If I transfer the funds of the sale into an access bond, would I still be liable for capital gains taxes?
@propertycornerZA Жыл бұрын
@@raamgovender3112Capital Gains Tax does not take bond values into account, it will thus have no effect on any CGT liabilities
