Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is super excited to welcome a herd of Goats to the Reserve.
These Goats are working hard to help manage our invasive plant species. Goats are often brought in to help manage invasive plants because they are efficient and can reach places that other methods cannot. They also help reduce the overall amount of herbicides that are needed for invasive species management.
Special Thanks to The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region-Life's a Journey Fund, PRN Healthcare and Evergreen Credit Union, for sponsoring this habitat management project!
