I checked with the guard at Chilling village and he said this route is open on thursdays and sundays. This was last week. You said its open on wednesdays. It might have changed but very difficult to get proper info.

I was there on Tuesday I waited for a day and went on Wednesday only open for 2 days a week

We went to zanskar on sept 1st week, it was not wednesday, so we took singe la, sirsir la route, which was pretty much offroading,

The month was this last september around i think 15th or 16th was the date !! It took around 5 hours from padum at a ease pace !! There were some drilling works in the way as well and a checkpost at nerak !! With 2 breaks and all that the delay in clearing the road after the drilling work it took 5 hours in total . The road is just mesmerising but its too much of offroad !! Very big bolders in the way and many steep angles were there see the full video you will have a better idea
