Great reaction as always and yes I love this band even though I am not a fan of Trash Metal. The passion, anger and joy that they play with is so intoxicating to listen to. The old bands of the 60's railing against the establishment would love these kids. They however, are trying to save one of the last indigenous cultures from being erased or eradicated by the modern world. I love how they take their ancestors struggles of the past put them into music today in hopes of preserving this culture for tomorrow. How can you not love these kids and who else play Maori Trash Metal and sings in the native tongue only 4% of the population now knows!!!! This is a struggle that is worth watching and remembering, I love music but this is also important music to learn from!!

'Ahi kā' means 'the fires of occupation', and refers to those who have lived in a place for a long time. Using the speech from Queen Elizabeth about being at home is (I think) about the dispossession of Māori from our land, and how this has become a 'Little England'. Māori have been in Aotearoa New Zealand for 700+ years, and we're almost strangers in our own land due to colonialism. Awesome song from Alien Weaponry, thank you for the reaction.

Though they obviously have a deep connection to their Maori heritage (which makes their songs so much more powerful) and are very much Kiwi's they also have Dutch in their heritage, and still have family here too. Just a fun fact
