forget it, i have that problem to construct a stainless butterfly for a boat exhaust,at 45º,won't even think of doing it this way,too many points needed: i will section the pipe at 45º in a saw, then lay the cut end flat on the stainless sheet metal and draw it, then cut the oval butterfly.
