I am interested on how you set up your system so it could filter your drinking water and filtration for your shower…would you please share🤗

Are the filters after the storage? So, used shower water is stored and filtered just prior to use? Are you worried or have you had any bacterial growth due to the order? Since it is a "closed" system, could you put the filters on the drainage side?

Great video and excellent job - Can you tell me what the name of foam board in which you use for epoxy wall ?
@HighlyPaidHandyman3 жыл бұрын
You can buy any pink polystyrene foam panel. 4x8 sheets from home depot, amazon etc. check out '"stone coat countertops" on youtube kzbin.info/door/TYSouVgnpkqDbdG2hY2W5w and they go into more detail. Here are some panels insulation4us.com/products/owens-corning-foamular-250-xps-insulation-board-all-sizes?variant=32154942046257&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpf2IBhDkARIsAGVo0D1S8GixUe_qdkkc4iThCg8NFAD4dAVyeYwl38fGBvr-ekCJeMq-_9kaArZEEALw_wcB

dumb question, will that filtration system take care of soap and shampoo as well?
@HighlyPaidHandyman3 жыл бұрын
Yes, down to 1micron. There will be pass through a UV light installed in addition to the current set up.It will still be considered non-potable water, but in theory it would be drinkable.
@HighlyPaidHandyman3 жыл бұрын
And not a dumb question!! I asked William the same thing when he told me his plans.
@southernfriedcircuits3 жыл бұрын
@@HighlyPaidHandyman thanks for the reply. This absolutely seems like the way to go. One of my hang-ups has been my love for decent hot showers and the thought of having to figure out water conservation with a finite supply of water.
@HighlyPaidHandyman3 жыл бұрын
@@southernfriedcircuits yeah, having an unlimited supply of water is fantastic concept in the RV world. No stopping the water to lather up etc to save on water use. William said you should be able to get 30 showers out of it before needing to change the water. Fingers crossed based on reports from other people who have the same set up. Also he thinks the filters should be washable to an extent. Not sure on the longevity of those.

@@HighlyPaidHandyman one of the recirculating shower guys adds Epson salts to the water. I think he said it helps bind up skin and soaps so they are easier to filter.

Question - Even with the 2 solenoid valves before the hot water heater, isn't it likely that there will still be a small mixing fresh/rancid water in the heater?
@HighlyPaidHandyman3 жыл бұрын
Correct. William I went round and round and round on this.
@Syed.S.A3 жыл бұрын
How much is costing to convert it.
@HighlyPaidHandyman3 жыл бұрын
That’s a tricky question. First one has to consider the total cost of just the vehicle. Then the cost of parts and materials, which would be over 30k+ at this point. Now, the hard part is the total man hours to complete the conversion. I have no clue what that would come out to at this point. William will have an idea on how to answer your question when he is done. Thousands of man hours at $30/hour is the reason these sell in the 40-80k range. Lots of work and material cost.

Since your recirculating the shower water won't the shower water get hotter and hotter since water is pulled from the tank and goes back to the tank
@HighlyPaidHandyman3 жыл бұрын
Interesting point... I am not sure, but if that's the case it will save on propane for the heater hahah
