Liverpool have been missing key world class players all season and are still top of league. Hopefully by the end of April These five key crucial players will be back in the first 11: Alisson GK, Trent A Arnold RB/CM, Konate CB, Robertson LB and D Jota FD/RWF/LWF. Cherry picking data here. Liverpool have not been the consistent 2nd best team in the league. They had 3 years where they finished 2nd, 1st, 2nd. Then other years under Klopp they finished 8th, 4th, 4th, 3rd, and 5th. City in that same time period finished 1st 5 times, 2nd once and then 3rd and 4th with that 4th place finish under Pellegrini. City are considered inevitable because they have reached the top of the mountain 5 of the 7 seasons under Pep.

Well we couldn’t play on the front foot attacking wise because our main attackers are hampered. Saka who wasn’t really fit because he couldn’t practice for over 2 weeks and Martinelli who hasn’t practiced in over 4 weeks and could only play 10 minutes or so. If Martinelli was fit he would have come on before Trossard.

Nonsense Saka and martinelli have been anonymous most of the season but for the good run after the winter break. They have both stagnated under Arteta. That’s why arsenal have fewer open play goals than city and Liverpool, it’s corners and penalties keeping them in the race.
