Nunes dashed his hopes staying in the new City. I now understand why Pep has been hesitant to strat him. This was not accidental, he has done the same thing against Sporting. As a United fan I've lived through the glee of rival fans watching our downfall from absolute dominance to mediocrity. It is what it is! There have to be serious questions over Pep now, though. Steve I mentioned something I noticed last season regarding the lack of leadership and accountability from the players. All might not been captains but dragged us in tough times . Kompany , Yaya , Rodri , Fernandinho . The players we have some might have won treble but they rode the coat tails of others . Examples of like Zincenko and Jesus at Arsenal they was raving these are leaders there not. Only certain players have the mentality to win it or cost, and others will only perform with them around hence why Rodri missing is massive. These players lacked heart and maybe over coached you saw with Amad no care in the world he just wanted to play. We move stay positive big man.

This was and is a proper meltdown both by the team and fans. Ours is entirely justified. The reason for this is fairly simple. I have been a City supporter for more than 60 years, since the very late 1950s. Until 2011/2012, we never expected anything we got, even under Mercer. We got relegated and said fair enough but we will be back. And it happened. Everything we won was a bonus. Now it's not because we all Expect and demand success and when the wheel comes off big style like now, it's a massive shock - even to me and I have been through it all. If Pep's still struggling with the fitness of his squad, he must, now, think outside the box and reinvent the team, until such time as he has a squad capable of playing the systems that he usually likes. So, roll on January: get some more bodies in! A thought for you: we've been so shit and devoid of confidence, yet he STILL hasn't tried starting barely any of the youngsters. If I were them, I'd be thinking that there's no point being at City if I can't get a look-in with a team THIS bad. So, the youngsters' confidence must be shot as well as everyone else's. We have the same problems... especially related to the defensive phase... we can't win games without an orderly and disciplined defense... the build-up phase is no longer one of the best... then I have doubts... and I hope it's not true... I sincerely hope that we are not losing games on purpose... because that would be really serious... the day before yesterday we were the best during the game... but sometimes you could see it... it was clear... we forced the action too much... continuously giving the ball away to the opponents... and a point that I didn't like at all... rather than coming out cleanly and trying to start some counterattacks in the open field! Sunday... we had to defend that result... we were at the end and we just had to use our heads and previous experience... win some tackles... win some corners... to pass the time... also using a little bit of malice!

I was completely embarrassed with the teams performance in the derby…not one player fought for the badge, no leadership on the pitch, players didn’t look interested. Completely embarrassing, they should all take a long hard look at themselves. I was so glad when Bernardo spoke out after the match and said the performance wasn’t good enough…unlike Pep who just says we played good, we are not far off our usual good form. We are miles off the team we are used to watching, for various reasons. We have to make a few signings in January to bolster the weak squad and we have to do it then because we could have a spending ban slapped on us if we are found guilty of 115 charges. Would be no summer rebuild then! I don’t know why the team have dropped so far this season but we just have to keep supporting them and hopefully we will come good again soon 🤞🤞

arsenal fan here but i sympathize with you guys,i am not ashamed to say that city's success is what i hope we'd be with the emirates switch and all those promises and am surely one of the rare to envy you without being salty...and what i want to say is that this bizarre period you are having could be a blessing in disguise if your board is as a proactive as they are most of the time and if pep accepts to eat humble pie and work on some aspects on the game or mix a bit his approach when i look at your squad almost every players are similar,only two guys in the squad have different attributes walker for the 1V1 pace and power he had and haaland for his goalscoring,all the rest are or are tried to be moulded into something else just to fit in pep's genius plan it is sooo clear with your bizarre run that there was only plan which was keep the possession absorb the energy of opponents and outscore them and rodri is there for tactical fouls to avoid dangerous counters,pep picked most of your defenders with a massive emphasis on feet ability but the bad side of it is that they are too relaxed,so having to do sometimes up to 10 times more hard defending in some games they are very clumsy and since there dont seem to be any defensive coaching apart from possession based its been a weapon,imagine for a second city being the offensive machine it is but having nasty warriors at the back aswell,you guys could have repeated what we have here with lyon and 7 straight leagues or 8 the backbone of the team is at the end of a cycle,even though somebody like gundo did for me maybe his best game since his return yesterday

Im a Manchester United fan but City definitely need some players to revitalise the team especially in central midfieldwith Rodri being out for the season, but these players obviously need to have good experience, I always say buying players in their mid 20s is always the best age to get them. Zubamendi or Bruno G would probably be a good signing for City. Fabian Ruiz or Vitinha as well would be a good addition. Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha would be great at United as I still think we need a top midfielder to go along with Ugarte as I actually see Kobbie Mainoo as a number 10 more than an 8. I'm an Arsenal fan and there's no way this is true. A whole squad of players and agents would not be trusted with this information. They will find out when the case is done. Otherwise it's just guessing. City's poor form is down to 2 poor transfer windows and an ageing squad who lack motivation after all the success they have had together. Also I think Pep is burnt out and should of left, I honestly think he signed the contract to try to motivate the players but now that hasn't worked. I wouldn't be surprised if he left anyway.

City signed Sporting's director, probably in anticipation of Amorim joining. Similar to what they did with Barca's director to entice Pep. It's no coincidence Pep signed a new deal after Amorim joined United. It feels like they begged him to stay, the guy is worn out and needs a break.

To be honest, I feared the worst, when Ruben passed the ball to Walker,I held my breath and then Walker passed backwards to Nunes, I just knew that he was somehow going to fluff it, which he subsequently did , with that very poor back pass, under absolutely no pressure at all, call it complacency or lack of concentration or both and then he makes it much more worse in trying to make up for his mistake , he rushes in unnecessary and concedes a penalty and then it was downhill from there, they just capitulated , like in most recent games.

I think it is bodies, it can’t be understated the loss of Rodri, he was our central pivot and was so critical to every action of play. The inconsistency of the back four has been extremely tough. The loss of Rodri in the midfield has really exposed our back four, 90% of the balls getting through now wouldn’t get to that point if Rodri was on the pitch, he has a gift of knowing where to be and when. Players are low on confidence, players like Bernardo not getting any rest, Jack, Foden and KDB well off form and far from their best. Gundo well off what we expect, Walker is to old and isn’t able to play at a level we expect of a city player. Doku and Savinho still haven’t settled. I trust Pep to have a plan for January to turn the ship around, I have faith in Pep. We back Pep and the boys when we win and we support them when we don’t.

TBH , I am not even thinking or hoping for any silverware this season at this point . They have achieved sooooo much the past few season , it's impossible not to hit the wall at some point . Right now I would just like our boys to stay physically fit , mentally well , have the fire to play good and win games for their confidence , sense of ' Togetherness ' and be proud of their badge .
