I just wanted to say thank you for making your videos. I really enjoy watching them. I learned something new, as I didn't know what was before the Brady Sullivan Building, and I didn't know where the Smith Tower was. I've lived and worked in many places in Manchester in the past 35 years , and I used to collect old Manchester postcards and antique items .. I would like to talk to you in person some time ..

So i live across from that old lemay jewelers building, and while I dislike the manch history being torn down, I do feel whoever bought that building is doing a good job of making it look like it belongs in manch, as opposed to the red oak building in front of market basket,

I agree as that building is being done right and yes Red Oak has been a nightmare for Manchester over the past 15-20 years .

I always learn a lot about history and about architecture in Manchester from your videos, and it is relevant to me as I grew up on the west side. The shorter building now connected to the front of the Brady Sullivan Tower was there in the early 1950s. I remember being in the lobby once as a kid. According to a site online the tower itself was built in 1972. And It is nice to finally see a face to go with the voice at around 30:52. In my opinion your videos would be enhanced with more views of the narrator.

14:44 On the corner of Massabesic and Jewett Street there used to be a rail line and a passenger station/platform. The rail line and through the parking lot and garage and continued to go past CVS on Mammonth Rd and further east towards Lake Massabesic.

8:42 I have a lot of information about the businesses that were there. Seltest Icecream and then Oven Poppers which is now a vacant lot next to what was the Empire Theater. I have photos of this area and inside the theater I will gladly share with you for your collections. At Lake Ave/ Hall St is the Dearborn Hall building build in 1908? My wife and I along with a group of neighbors worked for 10 years to advocate to have that building renovated. Which eventually it was. Sadly the Grand Staircase in the center of the building was removed and a elevator shaft was installed. If you would like to meet up someday I can share all I know. I used to live on Spruce Street for 13 years and saw a lot of history for those places. Cheers :)

Definitely a neat area as I can visualize what it used to look like before it became what it is now .
